So i'm a mid town hall 8 and i'm really getting into farming.
There are a few questions I have.
What is a good composition? (Using Loonian/Barch right now)
What trophy count should I farm at?
What should I max/upgrade first?

At th8 I found this composition useful: 10 giants, 10 wallbreakers, the rest of the army is made of barcher. Regarding spells, I only used healing spell. 1450 trophies (100 above or 100 below is ok). You will find enough resources and dark elixir to upgrade you Barbarian King and troops. Good luck!
Solid advice right there. Maybe too many wall breakers, but that's just my opinion :) This will get you in the core of any TH for their storages, and some poorly designed TH8's with all their loot in the center.Quote:

I use 10 giants, 5 wall breakers, a healer, and the rest barch. It works most of the time, but hey, nothing can work all the time.
Way back when i was a town hall 8 (like 3 updates ago), i basically lived down in silver 1 and used nothing but batch, got me wicked loot (hence the 400m each at low th9), my advice may be redundant due to the game changes recently but it might be worth a shot.
