Mine are dropping thick and fast and I have found that they sell quite slowly in my RSS. I don't think they are as bad as before but perhaps getting there
Yup!! :) I admit it!! :) I am the one who held onto 200 LEM when SC said no more fishing spots, and then they gave us -- more fishing spots!
I am the one who held onto over 500 LEM after SC said no more land expansions, and then they gave us - more land expansions! And after I had cleared those and piled up almost 600 LEMS we got -- EVEN MORE LAND EXPANSIONS!!!
So you bet your sweet bippy I am holding on to maps -- Have you noticed the extra room at the top of the cliff? ♥♥♥♥
I am seeing more, even in neighbors' stands, but I'm thinking it's just because more people are finally finishing upgrading all their land. I'm not seeing stall after stall of 10 maps, so I'm hoping it's just this.
I calculated 3 weeks ago that about 43/53 sales on a newspaper are crops with the other 10 being just random junk. I got one today with NOTHING but crops and 1 cotton shirt. I also found a newspaper today with 10 map ads. Maps are going in, bolts are going out.
I too am starting to see a few more ads for maps in the DD. This could also reflect that this newest round of players has maxed out the town. It's always an ebb and flow with stuff in the DD :)
problem is, many players are those who have not expanded their town yet. im guessing they do not have enough of the other 3 lems so maps are virtually useless for them.
My DD is constantly flooded with maps as well, if I was looking to expand town areas I could easily have enough in a half hour to probably cover all spots
I'm still not seeing them in my DD...maybe 1 or 2 ads at a time. Seeing more in my neighbors RSS than in the DD.
One of my neighbors sold about 70 of them last night. Just maybe map hoarding accounted for that too-full barn.
Personally, I'm not getting a lot of them. Maybe 5 a week. I offer them to neighbors before selling in the dd, but nobody needs them.
I don't get many maps, but I see a lot. On one of the previous pages I posted that 43 out of 53 ads in a newspaper are crops plus tree and bush products. I got one recently that was completely crops, 49 of them common crops like carrots, corn, wheat, soybeans, apples and sugarcane, the other 4 were tomatoes, potatoes and cacao, unlike my 52/53 with only 1 cotton shirt. I also got 12 map ads in one newspaper, my new record. Maps are on rise, watch out.
yes, watch out indeed! i feel sorry for low level players who had to resort to selling them because they did not have enough of the other lems to expand, that or they needed coins. either way, i noticed 1/2 of those who sell maps do not have their own expanded.
I am only level 45 which is kinda low for a centennial club user. I have just sold my whole barn stock excluding saws and axes. I also sold some common farm items like soybeans, carrots, sugarcane and stuff for room on wheating. Now I have 90k coins all because I needed expansion items and mining items. I'm just going to expand my barn and silo for a few weeks then revert back to normal. I may even keep the land expansions. The maps sold much slower, about 8x slower than most other items.
Holy cow, sheep, pig, goat and hen! Perky!!! I just went back to my farm and scrolled up onto the cliff. You can scroll to the point where all you see is trees!!! Very mysterious!
...and I do agree that there are folks out there who haven't opened all the town plots and aren't buying maps either because they prefer to open farm plots and fishing holes or because they don't have enough of the other LEMs for the town plots (which are useless unless you want the achievement or love decorating your town.)
Perky you are so lucky.
I get and sell maps often. Most of my neighbors don't need them. When I post an ad for something, the maps tend to go quickly.
