Let me try to correct the thread drift. As hood leader, I use the Derby as a tool to see which hoodmates are still playing. That's important to me because I left the last hood when it became a ghost town. It seemed the majority of my hoodmates were playing silently or stopped playing.
Prior to the derby, half of my hood were active, asking for help daily and giving help often. After the Derby was introduced, I looked at the Derby Task Board and noticed about half of my hoodmates who were doing tasks belonged in the inactive group. Not surprisingly, they preferred to do the tasks without asking the hood for help.
Now at least I know they are still playing. If not for the Derby, I would've thought they had stopped playing.
