I don't know about you, but I am finding the boat orders have become much more difficult since the update. I used to turn away maybe 2 or 3 boats a week ( that were sugar/ dairy laden). But now I'm turning away 2 or 3 on the run, and that's around 15 per week.
is anyone else finding this or is it just coincidence ?
Probably coincidence. But also as you get higher level, the quantities just keep getting larger as well. So everything just gets harder. Hang in there! I rarely ever see fruit boats any more. Ah, I miss those days... Being a lowbie was great when all you needed was some corn, soybeans, and sugarcane to fill a boat. Good times.
i think i agree though im not entirely sure. i just know that i keep getting all sorts of ♥♥♥♥ boats like 2x jam, or popsicle AND ice cream or butter AND butter popcorn. i think in order not to send away boats we'll need to keep like 99 pcs of each item in our inventory made during our free time then we'll probably have enough lol
Well sadly, some things in the way boat works is just by default defunct. Jam orders are one of them. I had a boat asking for Raspberry Jam the other day, 3 crates of 3 each. That's 9 Raspberry Jam, which will take 63 hours to produce. And the boat is there for 16 hours and then a couple of hours advance notice. That's doesn't even make half sense.
Anyway, with regard to OT, I'll second what Qpdaquiri said, that sounds like a reasonable explanation.
I think this game expects us to have a good stock of supplies and if we don't, we're supposed to send away the boats. But of course many of us would rather not! Especially those who are still working on their captain's achievement or want boat points. It's just a method to slow down our progress as far as I can tell.Quote:

Right now my jam maker is only queued with rasp jam to replenish my supply because that's getting used up like mad filling my boat as well as others.

I think I have picked up on a boat order pattern but I'm still tracking it to be sure. It seems as though whatever items are flooding the DD is exactly what I will need two boat orders away. For example, earlier today there was a large amount of blue sweaters being sold in the paper, and now I am needing blue sweaters for my own upcoming boat order although blue sweaters have now disappeared from the DD. I figure it has something to do with time zones around the world. Right now hamburgers are listed in greater numbers in the paper. Are the people in other parts of the world ( I'm in central US) getting rid of their excess hamburgers after filling their boat orders and in my corner of the world withholding blue sweaters to prepare themselves for their own boats?
I have already sent two boats away today and the next one coming wants cream, white sugar and carrot cake. I'll be sending that one away too.
Can't say I have ever seen DD flooded with Jams or Ice Creams or anything like sugar, cream etc., so bang goes that theory in my case anyway.Quote:
