Disconnected during battle? Read this and know about my Idea!

This has always been a big problem in the game,Specially in wars. The time you're attacking the base and the Wifi Icon appears in your gameplay that makes your heart stop. And suddenly the game disconnects and you just deployed a couple of archers and then get killed and the replay goes over until the last second,you haven't destroyed anything. This always destroys our mood on playing Clash of Clans.

What made me add this thread is to improve Clash of Clan's gameplay. The story is in our last war,I'm the only hope of the team. Score is 89(Our team)-91(Our opponent),and I only have one last attack to gain 3 stars on our opponent by attacking #9(a team mate failed to gain a star) I'm a town hall 8 player attacking a town hall 6 base,so it's a sure 3 star for me. The time remaining in the war are 9 minutes. So I attacked the said base. While attacking the base,the wifi icon popped up on my screen,and I ignored it. The wifi icon last for about 15 seconds but I ignored it. I destroyed 35% of the base and I got disconnected. It destroyed my mood playing Clash of Clan that time (until now,I can't still get over it). And I watched the replay,I only destroyed 2% of his base in the whole 3 minutes!

My whole clan mates blamed me and blame me over and over again,and their leader kicked out to their clan. I loved their clan as it was mine. But now I cannot go there again.

So my idea is to place a AUTO-PAUSE in case the player gets disconnected,and he can continue his battle again when he reconnected the game.

But there's an allocated time for the player to continue his battle. Within 5 Minutes,if the player did not Continue his battle,the battle will end.

In raid/online attacking You can continue your battle in the message icon-attack log-continue battle.

And in war,you can continue it by going to the War and clicking the base being attacked-continue battle.

You can also surrender the battle if you think you will lose the battle anyway.

so there are 2 buttons to be clicked: The CONTINUE BATTLE button and the SURRENDER/END BATTLE button.


I am hoping that SuperCell will add this,OR do something about that being disconnected during real time battle. We all know that this pisses us off if this happens to us.

And to the global chatting will be an advantage if you can go back to the last server you just got in and you're talking to a good person you like.

Maybe instead of making supercell use their resources to fix this, make sure you are connected via a strong wifi connection (not moving) or by data before attacking. This generally only happens to me when I'm in a moving vehicle so staying in one stationary spot can help too.

I think adding an auto pause and resume feature on war battle disconnections is an awesome idea... it wouldn't work for regular battles tho.

Just like Arose said, instead of getting SuperCell to fix your WiFi issues, you should try to fix them yourself. Only attack from a strong internet source where you are sure this cannot happen. Also this pause could be abused to get some more time to take a look at certain situations, for example when you have 30 more seconds and few archers left, and are looking for the last % points. Here, I'd just disconnect my WiFi to get this Pause.. then get back and looka t the base before hit the "Continue" button.

how are we able to fix our internet connection?Im afraid here in our country,that thing is next to impossible,the normal internet speed here is 30kb/sec-200kb/sec. You cannot blame us but I admit here in Philippines? Each and every politician here is corrupted. It has been a big issue here for a long time the internet speed but yet it's still unsolve.

Sorry for you man its not good to talk about their country i know but u have to play with all the problems
me 2 sometimes i get disconnected but thats chance
u'r feature is abusable some people who have x-m-0-d or im0d can see the traps when they go for the battle
with u're feature they would pause the attack and tactic it slowly it will be unfair :/

hey man it was a logical statement made there..but i feel that you shouldnt blame poor wifi on the person using it..its usually the telecom operators in the country who are at fault for the poor services..so before blaming someone on the face...remember not everybody has access to the first world countries and technologies..even the third world countries like india wish to be like the U.S and be technologically advance..but sadly its a long journey..

Unfortunately there is not much SuperCell can do for this matter so it will still be up to him to find the best internet speed in his country, if he wants to have least chances of such problems like dropping the internet. From what I know about these issues, it would be hard for the game to know when you actually dropped, since the game doesn't send a message to the server "he dropped", that could require too much bandwidth to be worth it in most of the cases. The amount of cases in which this would be abused is too high so the only solution the OP has is get the best internet he can find.

If I'm right it will auto continue if you lose connection in battle with the troops you have deployed. So I don't see why you can complain.

P.S if you were a th lvl 8 you could have just trained 10 drags and smashed it and they would have continued... Even a high lvl 6 th base can't beat 10 drags so... Your problem

The risk of this being misused is huge. I know the huge frustration from losing a battle due to disconnection, but as has been said, your internet connection is not SC's problem.
