From my experience I would just go around sacrificing trophy's to bases that have 300 or more DE in the collectors, just quickly sniping them with archers then surrendering. Repeat the process.
Before the update I farmed DE with barch no wall breakers and no DE Zapping, I just find a base with easy to reach storages (not much splash towers defending and almost near the edge) with 400 DE, zap one mortar with two lightning spells, then swarm it with Barch. Better if you have your BK to tank. I don't know now that the update came out.
If you have the elixir, definitely mass drags with rage.
If not... I'd say just drop down to Silver 2 or 1 and farm off of collector raids.
If you're impatient, then Barch with wall breakers and take as high level giants in your CC as you can. 2 rage 1 heal usually works, but if your troops are not too leveled then go with 2 rage 1 heal.
For farming, go lightning and lightning the AD in front of the storage.Quote:

1) If you have elixir to spare I would use dragons along with 3 lightning spells. ** Try to look for bases with more than 500 dark elixir.
