Can I block someone?

Im currently having the same issue and its driving me crazy. I cant always help out my friends and followers with their boats. So i usually put rare newspaper items in my shop.

My solution would be limit how much people can buy.

For SC, i would appreciate it if they could put a buying limit of 3 items per non-followers and non-friends for every 3 hours. Explanation: each time someone visits a shop they can only take up to 3 items max. And then have to wait for another 3 hours to pass before being able to go back and buy more. That way everyone gets a chance to get something and at the same time, you're helping your raider.

For now, it might just be best to place in 4 to 5 items at a time? Dont fill your stalls with good stuff. Have like maybe 2 good item and the other 3 are just things you can find in the newspaper. I've been doing this with max prices and still my raider catches me. But idk, it might still give some people a chance...

I'm going to give some friendly food for thought here.

What if you see 4 sets of tools you need in the DD. Maybe its 1 deed, 1 stake, 1 deed, 1 mallet. Or 4 single mallets. Your farm is bursting and you NEED those 4 mallets to make a little room in your barn. Would you feel hindered by that rule?

What if you really need a little wheat and a farmer has 4 singles for sale. Or what if you have a boat coming and you need sugarcane and bread. Farmer Joe has 2 stalls of fresh bread and 1 stall of sugarcane and another stall of that bolt you've been waiting a week to find. I can go on with examples, but I think you see the point.

Also, what's to prevent someone from following you JUST to override that max rule and buy you out until you delete them?

Limiting what you sell in RSS is fairest to all farmers because you play by your own rules that no one else even considers. A rule like this would make people feel left out, plus, there are no buying rules in HD, as current rules state.

I personally limit my purchases so others can get items they need as well, this is just merely food for thought from another angle. :)

Yes it is old and most of it is not relevant because it talks about the confirmation button and wanting to delete followers which we can do now. I also agree with you that this idea is problematic. I imagine the people with over one hundred slots would complain. It would take forever for their shop to clear. Plus some of us love raiders and would love to have one. I had one once, it was great. I put up gobs of wheat and eggs at max price. they filled up their barn way too fast and had to stop. That's all you really have to do you know. Go wheating, put the wheat in at max. They can only keep up for so long. make corn bread, ten at a time max price. In addition to that it would upset the balance of the game which is carefully figured into everything we can do. And as Cricks tells us again and again and again, many many people don't belong to the forums, so the unwritten made up rules don't get to them. The game is the way it is, for a reason and as is quite obvious by the age of this thread, this isn't going to change any time soon, just because some forum members want to place conditions on their sales. Having followed this train for a long time, there are a lot more who like being able to buy what they want than there are those who want to limit it. Time to let this thread die.

Agreed. This thread is no longer relevant due to the old information and time for it to close.

ChociMochi: What you propose, although understandable from your point of view, would completely change the dynamics of the game and unbalance all sorts of other things, which would then need to be changed to fit the changed balance from there no longer being an open RSS. Each of those redesigned aspects of the game would then affect yet more aspects, which would entail changing those. This would result in a COMPLETELY different game than the one we play now.

Still, everyone is entitled to their ideas and suggestions, so if you wish, you can post in the Ideas and Requests category. We never thought we'd be able to delete followers but that was recently implemented after much research and development by SC. Perhaps someday, they may be able to implement something that will ease your issue without changing the entirety of the game.
