Can I block someone?

I think the intent of the game is that it's a public game world. That's why anyone has access to your stall. The leaderboard proves that. People probably miss the point of the friends list. It's a way to keep people you want close in a list to find and help them easily. Not necessarily to form a clique (a small group of people who exclude others) and shut everyone else out...

People don't usually open stores then turn away random customers right? I think that applies here.

Sure, it's annoying when you put up stuff and want certain people to get it and some random person buys it all, but SC gave us the ability to interact and help out by filling boats, reviving trees and bushes.. And now thank you cards. Let's try not to be so controlling of others and enjoy that we can help out at all eh?

well, i dont see why we cant have some sort of balance. this game allows such thing called 'followers' hence its somewhat like a social media site. and ALL social media sites like twitter, facebook, instagram, pinterest etc have a block function. same should go for this game. if they allow people to follow farms, people who're being followed should be given a say as to whether or not they want to be followed. its only fair.

The follower feature is an interesting one.. I do agree that it would be nice to cut ties, but not necessarily to block out people from even visiting at all. Makes me wonder why they added a feature that's so one sided. Was it to help people learn how to price? Perhaps... sell certain things at certain prices so people don't wipe you out. Maybe it's a way to force people to adapt and change play styles. One can speculate.

yea a block function can allow you to block someone but they can still visit your farm. its up to SC on how they want to do it. i believe there are many user suggestions and some more urgent ones like giving a warning before you use your diamonds but i'm not sure if they're listening?

Seems to me though that the OP's major gripe is not that strangers are buying up stuff, but it is that the SAME PERSON is constantly raiding her shop no matter what she does. The person is not a friend, I don't recall if she said the person was a follower or not.

The gist is that there ought to be a way to block repeat offenders like the above and perhaps even known "poor sport" Players or those who play "dirty". I'm all for that to be honest. I don't mind my stall being open for ads, neighbors and the occasional "walk-in" but when it's one person constantly taking everything and leaving nothing for my neighbors (even when unadvertised), it gets a little...taxing and frustrating.

Ahm.. I'm a little weary about certain topics such as diamond confirmation as that's been vastly discussed. Companies like them who choose to give out a free game and also include the ability to gain free virtual currency probably have good reason not to add it. It just really hurts those who do pay real money if they lose them accidently. But again, since they are so generous with the free diamonds, you kind of make it back... just really slowly. I'm extremely grateful that SC has made a game that allows anyone, with or without buying diamonds, to enjoy. You can reach a high level and do very well without making a single purchase.

On a personal note, I lost 19 diamonds yesterday accidently tapping a cacao tree twice while trying to tap a different one next to it for revival... so yeah.. I do empathize with many who want a confirmation, but accept that it will probably never happen. :(

I understand. And I'm not telling anyone how to play their game here. Just giving some thought into the issue. Perhaps it'd be best to just think of the stall as just that.. a stall, a store.. a spot to throw extra things you don't mind selling (to anyone, even if it's to some poor sport player).. and by don't mind selling, I mean don't mind losing to a lost cause to gain some coin in return... Because at this point in time, not much can be done about it. We don't know the reason behind why someone is buying everything. Sometimes it's a kid who thinks it's fun, or someone thinks it's helpful, "oh this person needs lots of money and is selling lots so I'll buy it all. I'm so generous!", etc...

It happens to most of us at one point or another. I'm not excluded from that either. I just hope players don't get fed up and give up a game they enjoy due to one person needing/wanting so much... it is frustrating, I sympathize.

I just do not get this! You put things in your shop for sale, someone buys them and pays you money and you complain, what am I missing? Surely the idea of selling items for money makes no difference to you who buys them, the sooner
the stall is " cleaned out" the sooner you can put more for sale. 🐻🐷🐽🐔🐮🐶

yea totally agree, what you said really makes sense. i guess you can't have everything! haha.

I'm too am torn about this. I have been refining my tactics and pricing strategy with consternation only to have one person wipe me out every time (the same person). I don't price everything at max because I think it's fun to try and be the equalizer in pricing trends. I also don't max my ag products but increase a certain percentage based on my tending turnover (each of our set of friends/followers have different buying preferences and habits which makes it hard for us speculators to theorize "what works" in general) so I would get in a snit every time the swipper would visit and then I would reassess my prices. Here's what really got my "knickers in a knot" the swipper would then take my product and sell of of it for max price ... Irritating? Yes! But, that's how the game works. I have two choices: embrace the swipper as part of my selling strategy (they,he,she) opens my stalls for new product and increases turnover or I price everything at max price. I chose to embrace their presence and my knickers are no longer knotted :-)
