at TH8 you might be able to get away with using GoWiPe. It can get 3* against some rushed bases but is not consistent and no way as good as hogs. But TH9 GoWiPe will get 2* every time. You should be aiming for 3 (DONT LISTEN TO MOLT!!! 3 STARS WIN WARS!!!). The reason it is used at th10 is because 2* is acceptable.

The most efficient upgrade path would be to first unlock your queen, upgrade spell factory and laboratory then begin upgrading CC and army camps.
Upgrade hogs to lvl5 then dump any excess DE on AQ. After hogs are done you can upgrade loons ... hopefully you are done with the army camps by now and begun working on DB.

Also you used hogs before in TH8 I assume so its a strategy you will be somewhat familiar with while laloon will take some time and practice to get used to.

I only disagree slightly....here is what am doing.

Cc, lab, spell factory, queen, camp.
then i left 1 builder on camps, 1 builder till queen is 5, 1 builder on dark rax, 1 on def ( i only did ad, tesla mines/traps, sweeper) 1 builder on dark drills. Excess gold to walls.
research, loons, giants (used with surgical hogs), if AQ5 then hogs else wiz or arch.

I am not a heavy barch farmer since i am in masters so i usually raid hogs 4. If i was in gold or below i may do barch 6 1st to farm but i am not.

learn hogs. So OP now with the poison it's not funny!

I talk a lot of ♥♥♥♥ on gowipe but it's only directed at th9 gowipe. At th8 gowipe will take any th8 base ezpz
