I am at th8 currently, upgrading to th9. At th8, my main war strategy was gowipe and I was highly successful. Upgrading to th9 however, I am not sure what troops I should unlock/upgrade first. What troops do you recommend to use in war for th9? My opponents are generally high th8s- mid th9s.
Depends on what you want to achieve.
For 2 stars gowipe works well. You want to work on your golems.
For 3 stars you need a lot of time understanding and practicing and up your heroes too.

Here is easy: max ur hogs, max ur loons, open witches and up, open lava and up.

Also you used hogs before in TH8 I assume so its a strategy you will be somewhat familiar with while laloon will take some time and practice to get used to.
Where's lavaloon? Balloonion is more a farming strategy than a war strategy, even though I sometimes 3-star with it (usually premie bases), lavaloon is much more reliable, especially against strong bases.
One way or another you max both.
imo gohowiwi and golaloon are the best three star war strategy's. Also there is Govawiwi and some other attacks but they are very hard to master. If you check out my youtube channel i post a lot of high level war attacks you can learn from.
Upgrade your dark barracks so you can unlock lava hounds soon but first upgrade do hogs. :thumbsup:

And oh yeah, if your main attack strategy was Gowipe at TH8 and was 'highly successful', I suggest you hit the cancel button on your TH and practice Hogs. Gowipe against low TH9s is just 2 stars most of the time. You need experience with Hogs for that TH8 to TH9 transition. Yes, it's a need.
Are u sure? I was under the impression that Gowipe is a mature strategy capable of taking out all the. While hogs may be good against low th9s, I've seen Gowipe defeat max th10sQuote:
