I don't think this idea is that bad actually. I would like to have this on my base, keep it there for that moment when you need just a bit more gold to finish that upgrade, or some elixir for that troop upgrade you so much worked for. I did this with my Christmas and Halloween obstacles, kept them and removed when I found the resource really necessary, so I am for this idea.:)
