Doing the same thing, so curious what responses you get. I was thinking of building just one of each defense and upgrading a fair bit. Also thinking I would do teslas and traps. Then maybe enough low level walls just to get troops pathing and funneling where the traps are.
Even with all that, I'm sure I would be way down the war map and win a few defenses here and there.
I currently have a defenseless account at th8. Wouldn't recommend upgrading the cannon because that would defeat the purpose of going defenseless. I've been trying to get opinions on walls as I am not sure how highly they are weighted. Ultimately walls won't really do anything for us but it would be nice to have a gold dump (plus they look cool).
Follow this guide http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...shing-Townhall but dont build defenses. Currently on my way to th8 and having lots of fun.
It's entirely your choice. It is interesting to know though that my defenceless account, which was th5 at the time with one lev 1 cannon and no walls, was placed 4 lower in war than a friend's defenceless th3 (also no walls, lev 1 cannon) because he bought two bombs. We were both maxed for our th apart from a lightning spell upgrade I hadn't done. He is not buying any more traps lol
had a th7 defenseless, i was plannin on going to 9 but 7 is also a sweet spot.
always rem that you will never really have great DE troops, so th7 for being able to dragon swarm is great or go to 9 so you can dragloon th8s and still weigh less than a th5. dont upgrade anything you dont need. so farming troops, rage/heal spells. I wouldnt rec going walls since they have fairly heavy weight, if you decided to go partially weightless aka building def but leaving them at lvl 1 dont build walls beyond wood as they will move you right up the sheet. look for the link about the guy complaining that his lava walls are killing him in war and take notice.
defenseless is a fun challenge and an asset to any war clan, good luck and clash on!
This was right on time. Just started 1 on the third and was debating spring traps. Guessing that's a big negative.
I have a th9 defenceless. No traps, no walls.
Max your offence first, then collectors.
Typical upgrade order:
Cc
Lab
Spell factory
Camps
Archers
Barbarians
WB
Giants
Rage spell
Collectors
Next TH
You will almost always be 3 starred, try to use the 16 hour shield unless you have time to play a good session
I'm confuzzled. What's the challenge? U beat up lower ths, while giving up stars. And hit high at th9 which should b a 3 star anyway. You're doing it to get easier wars, which is fine but that's not a challenge. In fact one could argue that's deliberately avoiding a challenge. If you're having fun with it that's the main thing though, but it makes wars easier not more challenging. Let's call a spade a spade
My nano account is at TH5. No walls, single L1 cannon from tutorial. Still long way to go as I don't actively play this account...
Be prepared to invest a lot of time staying online and playing, essentially you are trophy pushing all the time as you will suffer heavy losses both loot-wise and trophy-wise without playing in long sessions of time. It isn't a recommended playing style even for a side account, but each to their own style :)
No defense used to have the best zap defense...
I agree that no defense is a form of challenge mode. I'd argue that it's better for a second account as you're missing a big portion of the game (defense strategy). It's basically like playing without mines/collectors/drills as they roughly negate the regular losses.
Are you saying that they beat up lower TH or hit high at TH9? Which is it? You said both. It's definitely a bad clan strategy if the no defense is allowed/encouraged to attack their mirror. It's fairly easy to set up a bad example and then point at it and say bad. This however doesn't mean that all portions of the example are bad.
No defense accounts may make the war easier for the clan, but there's no reason it has to make it easier for the player that has the no defense account. I call making wars easier for clanmates being a good teammate. Another example of a good teammate is the player who gets 6 stars. Should we not let players make a second attack after they get the first 3 star? It reduces the challenge their clanmates face after all, and you seem to be saying that reduced challenge is bad.
You seem to be suggesting that the presence of no defense accounts in a clan makes for easier wars. If I assume that's true, then if no defensive accounts attack as they had defenses (hit their own TH level), and wars are indeed easier with no defense accounts, then that shifts the easier part of the war to their teammates instead of them. It sounds like a well played no defense account is a great clanmate, much like any well played account.
Tactical challenge for attacks in clan wars comes from attacking near the limit of your troops/skill. Having no defense, some defense, or max defense does not affect this. It depends solely on troops, skill, and selecting a "just right" difficulty base to attack. There are people who attack too high and too low that have defenses. Nothing about the amount of defense affects the personal degree of challenge people face when attacking. I don't understand where the inference that having a no defense account means a reduced challenge in wars for that account. I would appreciate clarification on how having no defenses means that clan war attacks are less challenging for that player.
On the defensive side, against a good clan, nothing changes. A good clan will employ an attack allocation strategy that 3 stars the bottom third of the map with one attack each freeing up attacks for scouts or extra attempts. It may have the side effect of turning some not so good clans into better clans by freeing up an attack at the bottom of their lineup if they would normally take multiple attacks to 3 star the bottom third. However, it's unlikely that such clans will be a significant loss risk to a decent clan and so giving them some gain in those wars is worth the trade off in harder wars where the bottom account was going to be 3 starred in one go anyway.
What are your goals? Any defenseless base is going to be the bottom base in most wars. The bottom third or so of the map should be three starred in one attack by any good clan. It makes pretty much no difference on the defensive side of clan wars (in terms of stars).
Not building/upgrading walls/defenses may make easier matches overall or it may not. I lean towards not much impact on purely theoretical grounds*
Personally, I have been building walls as my resource dump. In case I eventually decide to build defenses, I won't have wasted all those resources. As TH9 with BK9/AQ6 and 9/3/38/200 level 10/9/8/7 walls (current count), my defensive rating was 22k in the last war.
* A good clan will 3 star the bottom portion in one attack each (regardless of defenses or not). So optimal formula (that best reflects war difficulty in reality) for matching good clans is not going to care much about defenses at the bottom of the map since it does not matter in practice. So some defensive weight on bottom bases might not matter at all for matchmaking.
My second is a th7 no walls, lv1 cannon, max traps and 2 lv2 teslas. If you are in a low level clan (rushed th8 and below) you can always 2/3 stars the first opponent in war.
Sorry for my bad English.
Don't waste your time with peep like blissbomb, who knows little about defenseless accounts or engineered bases/clans. The fact that he is just shooting out the same ♥♥ about hitting easier bases or getting easier wars that I hear from others like him, just demonstrates how little knowledge he has.
FYI: I rarely seen a defenseless base hitting a mirror base. Defenseless peep tend to be skilled attackers, and tend to hit several spots above their base on the war map.
