If you get troops for war with no shield and get off and you lose all of them it can take a while to get more troops for war that are good for your attack. So I think that like Heros there should be a rest option for you clan troops and a guard option. Also I think they should add a button to collect all your resources at once rather then having to press every collector.
It is your responsibility to take care of your cc troops and only request when you have a shield or when you are ready to attack. The cc is a building which is meant to store troops and deploy them in case of an attack on your base, so your idea would pretty much ruin the purpose of the clan castle building.
That same theory could be true about the barbarian king and archer queen

The reason why heroes have the rest option and the CC does not is most probably because it takes at most 15 minutes to be able to do another request while it takes forever for heroes to regenerate, dunno how long it takes for max heroes as I don't have one :(
But it can take much longer if you request a pekka or golem because they have to make another one.

You can still get a full out attack on you when your town hall is exposed and if the war is almost over and you don't have a shield then you have to stay on till your ready to attack.
