Test your base against attacks. Like you go into some menu button and it brings you to a battlefield with your base on it and then you can put down troops to see how well you base defends. Also when you are choosing troops you have the option to upgrade them to any available level.
It's sad that new guys don't read the ruled out features:facepalm:
This has been requested for ages, but can be used to copy enemy clanwar bases and practice attacks on them which breaks the metagame. I am sorry but this is ruled out read the list for the next time

You can still use it to copy a base you want to revenge. War isn't the only deciding factor. Its ruled out. Move on.
