Should I max barbs or archers first?

You should have maxed bars/archers before you were at the point of upgrading your lab lol. But just start one and they will cook while the lab is upgrading.

Archers, in my opinion are the best choice, they are quick and efficient, even with the cost bump.

Archers then Barbs. Barbs already have good stats. While upgrading archer means it withstands another hit from 1 lvl higher than before. Good luck with what you choose :)

As fresh TH8 I originally wanted to upgrade Archers first
but at the time I was short of around 700k for the archer upgrade so I went for Barbarians first.

I will probably get flamed for this, but just looking at upgrading to th8, and was thinking of doing drag lvl3 first, solely with the intention of helping in wars. I think this is the quickest way to help my clan out, anyone else agree??

If you war, dragons level 3, hogs to 4, wizards to 5, loons to 5, then you can worry about other things. I just finished my level 2 golem upgrade to max my gowipe troops (troops for dragloon and hogs have been long done ) including pekka 3 and I still have level 4 archers, and have no regrets. I just farm with loonian.
