I think it was a visual glitch, the spell was level 4 (don't know if level 3 can get the job done or not).
6% * 4 = 24% won't take out a wall.

Any idea guys?
I can confirm that 4x L1 Quake will take out max walls (Level 11 walls). A few of us TH9s (mine are only L1) used it in the past couple wars to gut open right to the core of the base. How do you like paying the 4,000,000 (or 8,821,050 cumulative cost) per wall now for those L11 walls?
the radius of the earthquake spell is small though so it only really helps attackers if defending base only has like one or two layers of walls until core. This will change how people arrange their buildings so there are more layers of walls.
The new earthquake spell is definitely going to change some base designs.
There's a certain point in which the Earthquake spell will destroy the building if it is below a certain number of remaining hitpoints. This has not been calculated yet, but I'm sure someone will figure it out soon enough ;)
lol at you guys not understanding how math works
This is the only explaination. Which is stupid because the math doesn't add up. With 4 level 1 spells the wall will collapse at around 30% health on the first one, but I've tested it on other buildings and the collapse threshold is like 10-15% so much lower. Also, according to the math when you upgrade the spell to level 4, you should only need 3 to take out walls, but you still need 4 (someone else tested this, forget who)
It can really help against those southern teasers that have a big thick layer of walls in the back.
