Healer/Giant Strategy??

Right now i have a total of 145 space in my army camps. I usually go with healer/16 giants and archers but for some reason its not working as expected. My strategy is to take out the air defense then deploy giant/healer. After 3-4 defenses has been taken out, I deploy the archers. Instead the archers die and my giants don't have the dps to do much. Is it just because my army camp space is not enough to hold a bit extra archers or is there a way to deploy the archers a better way than all in one go? Thank you all who would help me out and I would really appreciate detailed feedback!!

You're using way too many giants to be successful, especially with only 145 camp size. Like you said, giants are too slow and won't do that much damage. They should be used as meat shields so your archers can mow down the defensive structures.

I have 200 camp size and when I use a healer & giant combo, I'll only take 8-10 giants. So try using less giants & more archers. It should work out better.

Thank you alot for the feedback:)!!! I'll try your strategy with 10 giants and healer. BTW how do You deploy your archers? Do you use any other types of troops?(besides the wall breakers) how do you use the healer/giant strategy?

Here's what I use when I use the healer:

• 6 - barbs: used at the beginning of the attack to draw out cc troops and/or test for traps.
• 100 - archers: after i tested for traps & bombs, I'll release 10-15 archers to mow down outside structures.
• 10 - giants: release one or two at first to distract archer twr/wiz tower/mortars, then release wallbreakers behind them.
• 8 - wallbreakers: I don't use all 8 normally. Prob only 2-5 per battle, but I like to carry extra for some difficult layouts.
• 1 - healer: of course, you already know to destroy air defense prior to releasing her. Sometimes if they have 2 or 3 air defense, I make sure to release as far away as possible so my archers will have a chance to destroy before the healer gets within range.

Hint: Make sure to not have too many archers by where you release the healer. I want my healer to heal giants and not my archers. So release her right after you release 6-8 giants.

Yeah like others have said, you're using too many giants. Also, eventually, people start to have more structures that do Ariel damage and start to have more space to place them in the middle of their base. Thus, this strategy begins to fail as you progress. (similar to the Balloon strategy) Just keep that in mind so you don't invest much in healers as you won't use them much down the road.

Thank you for your replies. I am always open to any other suggestions or tips so the more feed back and confirmation of how to use the strategy, the better I'll understand more about it. It would mean alot to me to know how to utilize these strategies. Oh and if you have any other strategies with the 145 camp space attack combination, PLEASE tell me some it would greatly help. I am actually new to this strategy and only used this once (5 minutes ago). I have a 135 army camp space and used 8 giants level 3, a healer level 1, 10 archers level 3 and the rest goblins level 3. I also had 20 archers in my clan castle. I got 100% so that was good :) . I just deployed 2 giants to distract defenses, then spread out archers. As the player's air defense was a high level and inside their core, I could not take it out with archers in the beginning, and so cleared out one side and then deployed two more giants to take care of the air defense. As soon as this was done, I deployed my healer, together with the rest of my giants in pairs. This was to minimize splash damage as they had level 4 mortars compared to my level 3 troops :rolleyes: . I made the mistake of deploying all of my archers earlier, and so almost ran out of time as my giant had to break through walls to get to the last army camp.

As a rule, I tend to use 8 giants maximum. This ensures that I do have the capability to screw over someone's defences, yet still have enough mobile troops to dispose of army camps. Hope this helped :)

I've posted this before, yonks ago, cannot find the original thread. So here goes again.
I've put amounts of each troops below. Here's a deployment guide -
Lure out CC troops and kill where necessary, then Giants followed by 2 WBs (poss Healspell if needed) to take out Air def'. Then deploy healers. Release wave of1/3 barbs, then another 1/3 archers. Deploy another 2 wbs, followed by 2/3 barbs and1/3 archers. Look for flank areas that could be attacked using the rest of your archers. Deploy Goblins whenever aclear path is made to storage(s). Hope you find this helpful. BB

I agree at that troop count 10-12 giants is all you can afford

If you want more wizards can bring the damage to compensate and healers help them too - but this skyrockets the cost


Or go wizards/barbs

I've been using the G/H strategy a while and recently Ive upped my gAme.
First of all, many of the a I've comments are very helpful. ESPECIALLY ABOUT INCEASING ARMY SIZE.
I'm at 200
I use 16-18 giants and TWO healers. 10WBs to speed access to defences and a bunch of archers to clean up. What I have added recently are 5 minions.
Minions are vulnerable to air defences, but if you are taking those defences out to protect your healers, your minions can go to town, if deployed strategically.
Also, don't dicount the use of the BK in these attacks. I'd everything is hitting the giants, he too, can get in a lot of damage.
Using this strategy i am getting more 3 star attacks than ever...
