Then what is the whole point of traps??
I had an idea for a dark spell called "Reveal" which shows trap locations for a brief period of time. Level 1 just shows them for 3 seconds. Level 2 reveals them for the match (troops would treat the traps like a defense, one shot from a ranged unit will trigger the trap, don't let your melee units get close!). Level 3 causes traps to trigger immediately when revealed. Spell radius would be very small, maybe 1.5 tiles.
