New TH9 Need Advice Farming w TH8 troops.....

I'm going to need a whole new strategy@ TH9, my troops are all max level for th8 except for Healer, which is L2......Here's what I have to work with......

Barn l5
Arch l5
Giants l5
Goblins l5
WBs l5
Balloons l5
Wizard l5
Healer l2
Dragon l3
Pekka l3

Minion l4
Hogs l4
Valks l2
Golem l2

,*Planning to unlock witch pretty soon.....

Spells:
Lightning l4
Healing Spell l5
Rage l5
Jump Spell l1

Barbarian King L10
*no Queen, #1 priority is to unlock her asap!!

My lab is empty and since I'm using my DE first on my queen I would like to start w upgrading Balloons to L6, so I need 6mil elixir......and want it fast......

Dobt mind using gems to boost barracks, usually boost my king, spell factory, and all 4 regular barracks for farming......

My old th8 army consisted of......

8 Giants
10 WBs
30 Barbarians
40 Archers
20-30 Goblins
20 Minion
2-5 Wizards

Optional: (in place of bar vs minions or goblins)
2-4 Hogs (Lure CC troops)
1-2 Valks

CC: 6x Wiz + 1 Arch, 5x Hogs L4+, 5x Giants L6+, 2x Witches + 1 Archer, 1 Pekka....

Spells: 1-2 Healing Spells l5(usually 1), 1 Rage l5 if it's made.

For DE I would usually use.......

20-30x Balloons l5
25-50 Minions l4

*Instead of Loons:
1-3 Dragons l3

CC: Any Loons 5+(prefer max l6), Minions 4+, Dragon l2+

Spells: 2x Rage l5 + 1x Healing Spells l5



So I was wondering what the fastest and best way to farm gold and elixir, and also farming DE.

I would farm around G2 to G1, using BAM, or GiBarch, because that's where I found successful. I'm the same as you, new Th9.

Its pretty hard to profit much Elixir since I think spells are required alot more.......

I like BAM but I feel like adding 6-8 Giants to tank, 5-6 WBs to get in, 20 goblins to take down storages fast and 20 minions to clean up really helps........


with BAM do you mainly just go for collector raids?? the thing is Wizard towers just own barbs archers and minions. and how do they get past any walls without getting creamed by a mortar??

So this is for collector raids only?

I usually try to go for a minimum of 250k Elixir for raid. Is that too high, too low?

Currently saving up Elixir to upgrade Dark Barracks to unlock Witches, then Army camps. not to mention my Lab is empty........ALSO need to get a queen.............


Any otyher advice besides trophy pushing and going for collector bases instead iof storagees>?

I am in the same boat. Was near the 6 mil for my first research when I realized I could just donate lvl 6 giants from my mini account due to our war level. That was a game changer for my loot. I take 6 lvl 6 giants in cc and a few more of my own. Essentially I get the upgrade at giant without the research for now. Decided to update camps as a result since the extra troop space is worth it. Using my mini is nice because I don't worry about asking for too much. You could do the same by working something out with another clan mate to always have a donation ready to go if you farm at the same time and just donate after each attack. This works well for giants since 8 is usually a good number and I can fit 6 in the cc now. I'm going to update archers first since they will survive a mortar shot and last a bit longer. Giants may slide a bit now that I have this option.

Having a pretty hard time, especially with elixir. I'm in Silver I, maybe I'll move up to gold or crystal to see if the loot up there is better.......

Can't find any collector raids what so ever...... really need elixir haven't even been able t start balloons l6!!!

Layout of th9 mostly with lots of compartment...bringing 6-
8 hogs (or filled in CC) is recommended

I use balloonion (lvl 6 balloons and lvl 5 minions). It is costly and time consumming but works. A lot of the loot is in storages so you need a powerful army comp to get it. I never find full collectors. I am currently in gold 1. All that talk about BAM or Barch I could never do because I never see abandon bases.

Go to Crystal 2, I was at silver but ran my gold dry looking for loot since the update. I went to Crystal and surprisingly found lotta raids up there with barch. 250k of each + 50k loot bonus = glorious, farmed avg 1.3 mil gold/ hr non boosted, excluding the 10 or so snipes each session for bonus. The c2 win bonus also offers 200 de that can help with your queen and king.

So Ive used this army to farm since I got my camps to where they should be and it always works well. 20 giants, 60 barbs, 60 arch, both heros, and I usually bring 2 rage and 2 heal and a cc full of troops just incase.

So what's the real problem? You did fine with th 8 troops, just use the same strategies.
