Prevent Accidental Troop Drops

Hi,

This suggestion is concerning an issue I have (as I'm sure many others do), with accidental troop deployment during a raid I would have rather skipped on.

Symptoms
Usually as each village displayed before me, I will do a customary zoom out as well as pan through their town. Unfortunately, sometimes, when I zoom out, this places my finger on an area that I am able to deploy troops. As i lift my two fingers after a zoom, sometimes a troop will deploy where one of my fingers was. Same thing with panning. As I move the screen around the village, sometimes a troop will drop where my finger is. Then there are completely accidental bumps like when I "miss" the NEXT button and end up touching the field and deploying a troop.

This is very frustrating especially when I lose several hours worth of trophies because of an accident. It happens to me frequently enough (almost every day) to where I think it's an issue that should be addressed.


Suggested Solutions

1) Change the algorithm for how troops are deployed. Right now it seems like the game has a hard time distinguishing between a zoom, swipe, and a simple touch...or at least the delay between each action is too short.

2) When a player touches the screen to deploy a troop, have a pop up box that asks if they are sure they want to proceed. This will keep people from accidentally dropping troops in the aforementioned symptoms.

3) Add a button to EACH village raid screen that says "Start Battle" (or something similar). Troops would only be able to be deployed after this button is pushed. That way players can zoom, swipe, etc without fear of accidentally dropping a troop.

Very intelligent post, which will probably not draw all the shouts of "read the sticky" but the simplest solution can be found there. Hopefully it will be included in an update soon.

* No default troop selected upon entering battle - avoid accidental battle starts

Or just stop being clumsy

There is an easy solution to this:

On the troop button introduce a blank button with no troop allocated to it and make this the default troop upon attacking. This means you need to select another troop to actually deploy.

Really nice idea I have same problem, I have 4s which means 3.5 inches display. I always make such mistakes
