I think since it's the Fourth of July, Air Defenses should be half price and upgraded in half the time the whole weekend. Air defenses are just too overpriced. It will be nice if we got a little discount on them for this weekend because Air Defenses = Fireworks
How about instead, we just add some sort of decoration to the air defense. In my opinion, upgrading the air defense is not that overpriced compared to walls . .. ..
I would also like to point out that many of the players that play this game are in fact not from the US (4th of July?) and as a matter of fact, if I recall correctly, supercell headquarters are in Finland .. . . .
Long story short, how about no.

Anyway, I'd say cut the upgrade time to half instead of the gold, think that'd be great!
1) this game isn't US-based only. this is international. if they did something for the United States's Independence day, they would need to do something for every Independence day.
2) Air defenses aren't too expensive or too long to upgrade. The more powerful a defense, the more it'll cost and the more time it'll take to upgrade.
3) walls aren't too expensive either.
