I have then wasted so many lures of each colour :(
To be honest: I doubt that the weight of the current record for the Bitterling is correct. It would mean that the range of weight for a gold medal Bitterling were about 1.5 lbs. For all other fishes it is 0.5 lbs. I'm quite sure the 4.x lbs is a typo. Maybe snowpark87 still reads here and checks his/her scrapbook.
Hi guys, back online at last...!!! Bear with me for a day or so while I catch up with everything... Will update as soon as I can...
John.
Running list until BOROYOB returns:
Bluegill---4.883---Desiree
Asp---2.853---Lesbaxp15
Green Sunfish---4.953---Lesbaxp15
Copper Redhorse---3.911---Corncob
Speckled Dace---3.707---ARCHERMIKE
Bitterling---3.745---ARCHERMIKE if that was a typo. I'm sure this will be short lived because nobody submitted their record knowing they couldn't beat a 4 pound bitterling. Lol. But I will enjoy while it lasts. What's the old saying--- "records are made to be broken".
Hi, I only just got access to the fishing game, so I hope it's OK if I can ask you guys, who's been at it for a while, a question. :)
After I caught my first fish, I clicked on it's image in the book and got a diamond. - I don't collect these diamond-rewards in the main game to keep from accidental use - so I didn't click the image of the next fish, to safe the diamond for later.
But as I returned to the fishing book just now, the second fish I caught is no longer in the book - neither is the first of the two fish I just caught. So to keep from losing the reward of the last fish, I clicked the image of the this fish, and of course, got the reward of 2 diamonds.
Now, is this a glitch or simply the way the game/rewards works - you can't safe the rewards for late like in the main game?
Hope some of you know the answer. :)
Mike - Thank you for keeping a running list of the updates for me... They saved me a lot of catching up. I have updated everything to date, and will look into the Bitterling query over the weekend hopefully, as we are more or less finished with the house straightening now... lol.
John.
When the "new" fish decide to show up, can you all post the relevant info on this thread, and the thread which is linked in the table above... Thank you.
John.
Either that or you lost cellular service. If it's not either one of those than I can't help you
This is an odd one...??? I have never heard of this before. Your two options for me would be to collect all your diamonds on any "new" fish, to see if they stay in your scrapbook permanently, or/and contact SC and mention about your disappearing fish to see if it is a glitch. Don't forget you could always make some mystery nets when you get 5 diamonds, and maybe get yourself one of those lovely and rare pearls...!!! loll.
John.
Ok folks, regarding the Bitterling query - Snowpark87's gold one at 4.669 lbs is on page 5, post no. 145, and the jpg is still there to verify as well...
John.
I hate to correct but it looks like the Bitterling is 3.613 on the picture at page 15. It is the fish above that is 4.669.
Best Regards
mysstund
Just wanted to help out. I thought it was strange too that the weight was so high
Hiya John
Time for me to claim a spot on your leaderboard with my Bluegill at 4.887 ;) Caught with a blue lure in area 8 (medium spot)
http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/x...ps53f57d26.png
Congrats, Cazzabee!
I just caught a gold level Rudd, weight 4.837, with a green lure in the waterfall area. Sorry, can't find the post where it numbers the areas. Could not have done it without the tips in this thread. Thank you everyone for sharing! And to Boroyob for starting and keeping track! I wasn't even trying to get in the leader board, was just fishing, then I saw Cazzabee's post, checked the one I just caught and voila! A new best fish! :D
http://i41.tinypic.com/28hig0j.jpg
Way to steal my thunder VorAtreides...hahaha..just joking ;););)
Congratulations!
The post with the numbered areas is here on page 19 http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...g-going/page19
If you look right below the list of records, John has the link to the other fish thread. Simply tap on it and it will redirect you to that thread.
Lol!!!!! I'm so sorry, Cazzabee! That's why i congratulated you first. ;) But it's all your fault, you know. If I hadn't seen your victorious post, I wouldn't have checked mine! ;););) Lol, just kidding too! I laughed really hard when I saw your post, i actually slapped my knee. My cat is disturbed... Lol
thx, for the link and info, Cazzabee and ArcherMike. Am definitely more aware in the fishing area now and I'll do my best not to steal anyone's thunder in future. ;) Ha ha
Sorry, no recollection as to the lure or the area, as this is old one (i'm still missing gold/silver for certain fishes, so i'm trying to get those)
Attachment 19614
Have updated all the new records for you folks... Nice to see some new people getting on here... lol. I know how difficult it is now to make this table, so well done and keep 'em coming...
John.
I went through my album. I didn't beat any records. I did tie one though.
Attachment 19638
Rainbow smelt 2.833
I know what you mean, it's a bit disheartening in a way when you think you have won a place in the table... lol. I'm the same, but with about six equal weights... It's like trying to win a brt for me, you just want to try harder and become even more determined...!!!
At at the moment, I am going 50/50 with fishing with green lures only to rack up the poundage for my last fishing achievement, and putting lobster nets in to keep the Soup Kitchen going 24/7 to get that last mastery completed... Still a way to go on both yet...
John.
I added up all my largest fish from my fish book. 107 lbs (106.961 to be exact) but I'm missing a few gold medal fish. My guess is I will be around 110 lbs when I have all 90 fish medaled or (all 30 fish gold medaled). [at this time I'm not adding in the 4 new Halloween update fish].
as of today, the 30 largest fish added up from BOROYOB's records list---total = 117.436 lbs
John BOROYOB, what's your total? I know you and I are close.
It would be interesting to hear from Corncob because of so many world record fish. What's your total Corncob?
I know Mysstund checks back often even though she finished all 90 fish. What's your total?
I don't want to volunteer John for another table because he has done a lot of work already keeping up the 2 fish table's but how come there isn't a running list for those who caught all 90 fish? hint, hint:rolleyes:
I thought about doing a table for adding up all 30 fish but that would be a pain verifying unless their was a small team helping out.
Hello Mike, seen this post this morning, and although in theory it sounds good, like you said, it might be a pain to set up and keep updating/editing... Every person would have to add up their total largest weighted fish, AND post jpg's for verification purposes... (Unless it was based on trust maybe...) The tables are easy to set up through the table editor... It's trying to keep it all compacted for easy, visible reading and viewing that's the hard bit... lol.
I could easily start a new thread for people who have caught all 90 awarded fish, but it's so rare an achievement... hehe... It is a massive target to reach, and one of the most difficult ones in the game. Even now there's not that many done it, maybe a dozen tops. Mysstund was the first as we all know... If there is enough interest, I'll set it up...
John.
First of all let me say that I got the same value for the total of the record list. This is a good start:)
I haven't been fishing for "interesting fish" for months. I only keep the soup kitchen running with fish filet I get from the red lures.
My records sum up for a total of 114.172. The theoretical maximum would be 121.970 (assuming that a fish with a current record of 4.xxx can have a maximum of 4.999 and so on).
A list would is a nice idea but I don't think too many people would care.
Wow, 114 lbs is awesome. Even when I get my last silver medal fish to gold, I don't think I will be close to that.
At first I didn't get your math on how you came up with 121.970 but now I get it. You took the
11 fish that are 4 pounders and
10 fish that are 3 pounders and
9 fish that are 2 pounders.
11 x 4.999 = 54.989
10 x 3.999 = 39.990
9 x 2.999 = 26.991
121.970 lbs theoretical max of 30 fish.
Hey John,
I should of explained a little bit further. I was thinking of having a top ten at first so there is some work getting that up and running but after that we would only have to verify somebody's numbers if they made the top ten. But now I think it would be to much work as I don't have the time to check back daily to update. I usually check into the threads 2 or 3 times a week.
On the other hand, I still think a list for completing 90 fish could go up because that list wouldn't need anyone to check daily on.
I was thinking that the 90 complete list should be on a separate thread but I think it would get lost over time so what if it became an extension of one of the current lists? Btw, I did not know 12 people have all 90 fish. I thought it was only 6 or so.
What do you think?
Mike, "the dozen tops" thought was including some folks who where/are only one or two fish away from completing all 90 awarded fish...??? I will try to come up with some ideas for a new thread in the next day or so...
John.
...the new record for a Huchen: 2.897 lbs
Attachment 19857
My record is 114.836 and I have had it for a long time since I am saving my lures for the new fish. :) Just a little bit more than corncob.
The record is for the largest fish I have of course.
Attachment 19980
New record Speckled Dace 3.715 lbs.
Today I got a big huchen so my new total record is 114.904 :)
What's the word on the community fish challenge for the 4 new fish?
It has been going on day and night but I put some dimonds in at the beginning to get more money and experince points if I did som truck orders. After that it went on by it self. :)
I hope they set the new 4 fish free tomorrow :)
Can you link the new tread about the 90 fish. I cant find it, please. :)
Here it is :)
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ard-event-fish
Thanks Gep.
John.
Found a tidbit on what one of the new fish may be so thought I'd share:
Attachment 20489
I just now saw that 90 fish thread for the first time. Thanks John. I can't wait to fish for the new 4 fish. I have all 30 bronze and silver medal fish but I got burned out going for the gold gt and I ran out of purple vouchers for my other fish so I'm taking a break.
When I return my list of gold medal fish i still need and their silver medal weights are-
Asp---------------2.397
Golden Trout-----2.409
Grass Carp-------2.437
Green Sunfish----4.453
Longear Sunfish--4.283
sauger------------3.489
Yellow bass-------4.501
Mike - It seems that there is not too many people caught all 90 awarded fish yet, well not as many as I thought...?? I know for a fact there is more, but I cannot locate or discover (or remember... lol.) who they are... A couple more are really close to completing, as you must have noticed, and no doubt they'll be soooooooo glad to finish what is a massive achievement... Got to be one of the biggest in the game...
John.
New copper red horse record:
Hi John,
I''ve got a Huchen of 2.903 lbs which is higher then the one mentioned.
We're connected, so you can check for yourself.
If correct that there's no one higher, can you put my name on the list?
my silver medal fish:
Asp---------------2.397
Golden Trout-----2.409
Grass Carp-------2.437
Green Sunfish----4.453
Longear Sunfish--4.283
sauger------------3.489
Yellow bass-------4.501
current world record fish:
Asp------------------2.853
Golden Trout-------2.835
Grass Carp---------2.787
Green Sunfish------4.953
Longear Sunfish----4.905
Sauger---------------3.733
Yellow Bass---------4.849
difference between my silver medal sauger and the world record is 1/4 pound. that's a small gold medal range.
difference between my silver medal grass carp or yellow bass is 1/3 pound
i never noticed these small ranges before.
i did get my gold medal grass carp done today (2.555)
i used up most of my vouchers on the community challenge so it will take a while to get all the medals now. :(
Attachment 21327
John,
I'm not familiar with all the english fish names, but I noticed I'm recordholder for the (c)rudd.
;)
You are indeed... I will update for you...
We have just checked our scrapbooks as well, and Flijo has the record Bitterling - 3.779 lbs, and I have the top Northern Studfish - 2.871 lbs... Most probably had them for ages, just never check that often... lol.
John.
I'm going to check the others as well, maybe got some more records..
I'll let you know.
Got a record bitterling
3781.
sorry, don't succeed in adding a picture. You can check my fish book. I invite you and feel free to delete after the check
I've decided I HATE FISHING !!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Yup, I mentioned about how looooooong those lines get in an earlier post, and I think my snap/catch ratio must have been about 80/20 respectively, and that's on an iPad...!!! I really don't know how people do it on an iPhone, but credit where it's due to those people...
John.
Beat the spotted sunfish by just a tad
Attachment 21350
Oki doki , I've come to apologise for my little out burst.
Mindstormer I've done more than snap lines trying to get theses new flipping fish, I might as well have the rod shoved up my........ Sorry forgetting I'm a lady ;)
And John, have you swallowed a dictionary today? I actually had to look up " colloquially " & still none the wiser! :p
Ive come to the conclusion , I don't like the fishing as I have no ( well very little) control of what I catch and as I like to be in control of everything ( 1 thing me & the hubby agree on) I'm finding it rather frustrating ,to say the least.
Any way problem solved, I'm buying fish from now on!
Somehow girl, you just don't seem to be the type of woman to take the easy way out! Pull that fishing pole out (from where you referenced it is ) , and throw some bait out there. With your charm and character, you'll have no trouble landing something that's sleek and charming! Remember, you're a woman in total control...:)
Sooooo close
John, I think you were confused. The top list was my silver medal fish and the bottom list was all the current gold medal record holders from the list you made. I was comparing some fish and saying that some gold medal fish have a very small range such as the sauger. My silver medal sauger is 3.539 lbs and Flijo's gold medal record sauger is 3.733. that is only .194 lbs for the entire gold medal range. Of course there might be bigger sauger's not reported yet, but you get what I'm saying now I hope.
Does anybody know if the big fish are still there? The event closed, but I can imagine you can catch them anyway.
Looking forward to some answers from the specialists overhere..lol
No need, I think we all understood your frustration at not being too good at fishing... I heard "that" word on the telly once, and thought it sounded quite eloquent ...!!! Good job the spell checker put it right for me...!!! hehe.
Fishing nets and Lobster nets are both free... All those Sushi's and Soups to make now... Just takes a bit longer...
John.
They are gone, was watching the fish jump out for some minutes, no big ones anymore...
Hi,
I started fishing 3 days ago and so far I didn't get any of items like BEM, SEM, LEM and tools. How often do you find those while fishing? I used green and blue lures and worms and will not use purple and golden until I get all pets and couple decorations for my farm for fishing? Do you need to use special lures to get them?
Sorry for posting my question here but I hope someone, maybe Mr. Bob, will see question and answer.
Hey!
I'm Sleven & new to this forum. I read the rules and some bigger topics, but I will appreciate if you'll give some advice or good threads to read. In Hay Day I'm level 32.
Yes I searched, before making this reply and I did not find this kind of topic. I am really sorry if there is one thread about this.
My question is about luring the fish when you're fishing. I am not sure and I am still trying to figure out, if it works - while luring the fish, you can judge, what fish is it, by it's behavior. As I do not have any vouchers to spend I only catch with the free lures. And as I have little chances of catching anything else but the(first/easiest) cheap fish I want to increase my chances.
Fish struggle when you lure them in and I want to know, can you say what fish you are luring by his struggling? Does anyone know about how this works?
Respectfully,
Sleven!
//E: Found out about struggle and circle size a bit, but any info appreciated.
Hi Sleven, welcome to the forum... You will also find lots of hints and tips on this thread -
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...g-going/page20
There is a numbered fishing area map, plus all the lure information for each fish... It's a big thread now, so hope this helps.
You can tell some fish you have caught to some extent, but it would take an age to describe... Read the threads you have been directed to (in your own thread as well) and you will learn quite a bit... After that, you will need a lot of practise and a lot of coloured vouchers for the lures... No, make that a great deal...!!! lol.
John.
Hi John,
Do you still update this thread? I caught a slightly heavier Fallfish and Sauger as mentioned in your spreadsheet.
If so, I could send a screenshot as proof tomorrow.
It's just a small improvement for both ;-)
Fallfish 3789
Sauger 3783
(Oh, and do you have any specific tips about catching the Bluespotted Sunfish and Artic Charr, except what is mentioned in the other thread? I still need the gold one for both and wasting vouchers faster than I get them ;-))
They all count, no matter how little an improvement.. lol. The two fish you mentioned are both available in ALL AREAS, and they are not some of the harder ones, but I do think they are a couple of the pot luck type... Funnily enough, I have been having the same trouble trying to catch my last nine awarded fish as well... Wasted more blue lures in area 8 trying for that gold Salmon than anything...
John.
Just realised I had the new record for the Greater Redhorse, only by a small margin... 3.879 lbs. Only 8 to go now, to achieve all 90 of the fishing awards..
John.
bumpity bumpity bump
Hi John, my Largemouth Bass is 4.955 lbs, and i have a Zander at 12.381.
Did they make it to the biggest catch? Still working on how to post a picture LOL.
Thanks.
Isser
Hello Isser, Your Largemouth Bass is indeed a rew record, I will have to check the other fishing thread re. the Zander.
Here is a link to the thread on how to post a picture as well -
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...s-and-pictures
When you upload your pics (just to verify) I add your fish to it's well deserved place...
John.
Your Zander did not beat the existing record of 12.972lbs...
All board event record weights are on this thread if you want to check them out - the lure info for these fish is on here as well for the next time it comes around...??
http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ard-event-fish
It also shows who has currently caught all 90 of the "normal" fishing awards, which is not a lot... It's a massive target to achieve... lol.
John.
Attachment 22294
Hi, John, i hope this works :)
Also i checked the other thread. Great work! There's so much helpful stuff there. And amazing accomplishments haha! Yeah i saw that Archermike has the heaviest Zander so i will not post my Zander pic anymore.
Thanks John!
Isser
