Who's Caught the Heaviest Fish?

I wonder why this fish is so oddly named. A quick google suggests to me that all the other fish are named after real ones, but there's only a sockeye salmon - not a sockey one. Mistake? Deliberate?

This sort of thing bugs me - particularly since the two words have completely different pronunciation.

All the info is on the main fishing thread as usual.. All that lovely info about the new Goldfish, Black Bullhead, Sockeye Salmon, and White Catfish... Those new fish are really colourful, the Sockeye looks like a huge Red Bellied Piranha, and you should see that new Catfish.. hehe.. Sorry, just winding you up, you can diss me later..

Well yes, I got the foot joke :) I certainly wouldn't fancy catching any in my sock while I was still wearing it... Although I have had a fish pedicure a few times.

White catfish in area 9 with small blue lure.

2.711 lbs is gold medal and currently the largest.

I have 3 of the 4 new fish records now. Yahoooooooo

Record for the black bullhead, caught with green lure, area 9

I am so happy. I cannot believe I did it.

i caught all 12 new fish medals and this last one is the black bullhead at area 9 with small gold lure.
