Is Barch Dead?

Thought I'd hit a bit of a rough patch as I continued my normal barching today. Same army, same strategies, but I noticed I was losing a lot more. Where I used to be able to win at least 9 out of 10, I was losing much more frequently. Then I remembered the nerf on barch by increasing the building HP. Sure, you can still win some, but it certainly isn't as easy.

My solution is to add some dps into my barch, with 3-5 wizards, or add some heal spells.

Are you seeing the same results? What's your solution?

Yes, barch is dead. 90% of my clan including me have stopped using barch and started using garch with goblins and wall breakers or loonion for farming. I believe all archers is still viable for pushing though, because archers now have a much higher firerate, shooting arrows 50% faster.

I havn't noticed a difference...what buildings did they add hp too?

No, not at all. It has been highly over exaggerated and blown out of proportion. Those who think it is dead probably werent able to raid active bases with is in the first place. :facepalm:

No barch isn't dead... People are just over exaggerating. Barch is still a good strategy but it's not as effective now due to hp increase (in my opinion).

Thanks. I thought the archers looked like they were shooting a lot faster too. I think part of it was the wallbreaker AI, which is seems today's maintenance changed back. I was getting a lot of my barch stuck on walls and wiped out by mortars, which didn't happen as much pre-update.

I'm adding a handful of wizards and bringing a hog for deep cc luring.

I also tried dropping way down in trophies but it's brutal down in silver. I'm a 9 about 1/3 of the way through and all I'm seeing is either poor 8's or maxed 9s and strong 10s. I never even bother with a base that has infernos.

Im Th9 in Silver 2 and I can say that barch is still working.

I never really liked barch but decided to do a boost session pre and post update. The day before: loot was CRAZY. The day after, not even a good collector raid. Since IMO that was all that barch was good for, I would say its much lesss viable than before.
