What happens? Is it stuck on "downloading content"? Does it crash right after?
I try everything.. restart my Iphone and iPad.. They need to fix this
Try reinstalling the game. Make sure your account is connected to your game center account before doing that.
The villages of my kid, husband and I have are doing the same loop thing (download content/supercell start screen loop). We have cross checked on every device we could find in the house, even devices that are no longer in use. It is doing it on 2 iPhone's, 2 iPad's (one a month old with no other apps on it and one very, very old) and an iPod.
I have tried force quitting, restarting the device, disabling and enabling wifi, restarting my router, and deleting and reinstalling the app. My device has only the one game on it, so it has nothing to do with how much available space I have.
I have a similar problem with one of the devices in my house, running iOS 6. If I try to open CoC it just flashes briefly and then returns to the iPhone home screen. Worked fine before today's update.
I'm also stuck in an infinite "Downloading Content" loop after the update.
It shows the supercell logo, then the graphic with "downloading content" progress bar ( which doesn't seem to fill), then within a second or two it flashes back to the supercell logo and repeats over and over.
I have plenty of space left on my iphone so thats not the issue. I've tried force quitting a few times as well.
Stuck in a continuos loop on the load screen, flashes loading content for 1 second then supercell logo then contiues over and over
Hello,
Can you make sure you have enough free space on your device?
Either way, in past occasions that we have seen this "downloading content" loop it was solved either by connecting to a different network once (like from Wi-Fi to 3g, or just a different wifi) so that the content can download normally and then jus go back to your regular network; or just forgetting the currently network and then login again.
Please try these steps and let me know if it worked or not for you
Using the 3G on the iPhone and loading the content that way worked perfectly. I will just have to figure something else out for the iPad's/iPod since they are wifi only.
I have plenty of free space on my ipad, wifi only
Hi
Check this: http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...ONSTRUCTION%29
It sounds like your device doesn't have enough storage. Please check te troubleshooting steps in that thread.
I have 7.3 gb available on my iPad. if that's not enough, then I'm sure this was a MAJOR update.
i hope they can fix this soon i got a clan to run and i got upgrades that need done
As stated in my previous posts, yes.
Mine does now seem to be working - I plugged it into my iMac and downloaded it via iTunes rather than direct to the iPhone. That seemed to fix the problem.
Other devices in my house worked fine updating direct to the phone via the same wifi network.
I just tried that. I deleted the app and downloaded it through iTunes. I even reset my Ipad to factory beforehand, wiping it clean. It still is not working. I'm pretty much getting the point that I wasted my time on this app and will just delete it for good.
Edit: I fixed it! I turned my phone into a personal hotspot and connected my iPad/iPod that way and it worked perfectly.
The steps i followed to get it workig again (not sure if all of them or only some of them are needed), but for anyone else having the problem:
1 uninstalled app
2 powered off phone
3 powered on and reinstalled the app
4 connected to a different wifi to start the app (and download the update)
5 success!
Changing from WiFi to 4G was all I needed to do and it worked. Then I was able to change back to the same WiFi network and it all worked fine. For those of you who have WiFi only iPads, try using your iPhone or other smart phone as a local hotspot, access the internet by connecting your iPad to the iPhone hotspot and see if that works.
I'm having the issue of the game crashing right after I try to open it. I don't even see the "downloading content" or Supercell title screen. This happened after I did the update on an ipod touch 4. I don't have it logged into Gamecenter which is tied to another device I use so I don't want to uninstall and reinstall the game. Any suggestions?
