I could deal with all the useless garbage that was added. By. Mess with the AI i spent 90% of day trying to farm a elixir for my lab that was down. But all the troops wanna wrap and not funnel like intended. The AI ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed now. My queen. Was going straight for dark storage.. boom she decides she wants to take off back all the way out. And wrap the damn base. Shes done this 12 times in a row even if i use wallbreakers. She goes where she wants.
I had some guy revenge my mini account with 4 lightning spells on the DE storage. Walked away with 0 DE... bwahahaha

First you bring in a 4th mortar, now you are increasing the prices to make barch a less profitable strategy? Unbelievable.

Loot is horrible! Last update we had awesome loot in the first day of the update. SC has may changed the loot back to bad.
In The Player Profile When you have something upgraded it shows that you have it and the lvl. People who have the Dark spells dont even have them and it shows we do..Plz Patch this so we know if you really have Dark Spells without visiting a players base. Thank You;)
I quite liked the larger gold/elixir/dark elixir storage bars and loot offerings on the top right and left, respectively. It is much larger on the home screen.
Also the font size for trophies has been reduced, and I would also like that to returned to fill size.

Pre-update I could selectively barch layouts at 3k trophies that did not defend against the strategy, now even the worst bases at this level are almost impossible without unloading all spells and heroes.
Imo SC finally killed barch against all but underdeveloped bases. I guess that was obviously their goal, get people to buy gems to cook powerful easy to win with armies.
Aside from the barch nerf I do enjoy the ui improvements though.
Storage are immune to spells... This is huge disadvantage for new players. It will slow down development very very much. It was awful idea! :mad:

i am a TH8, I used to be able to 3 star TH8's with barch, now I can barely 3 star a TH6, it's bad enough that they had to increase the cost but even WORSE that they nerfed the troops and increased speed of archer towers again.
please reconsider supercell, I can't even barch a base 2 town halls lower than me and yes I have had my clan review my attacks and they say it's perfect strategy. I never had a problem before the update.

Some has already noticed, WB si sucks now. Should've just fixed the way they re-targeted walls...not the way they targeted walls initially when deployed...and also the way WB didn't target walls that are further into the base.
Why re-use the gold and purple color for titan and legend league? Be more unique and pick a different color...like Blue or Clear or even White (Platinum/Diamond).
The spacing in the profile for the Troops donated/received and atk/def won are not aligned correctly...please fix.
The TH picture should really be above the visit button instead of the far right side of the screen...it's the first thing you'd want to know when you check someones profile.
And global chat filter should have a toggle option like clan chat.
Other than the mentioned above, it's a fairly decent update this time...lab will be busy again for another few months!

and i I see other complaining too.
it was bad enough they increased the cost but I wouldn't mind the cost increase so much if they didn't nerf the troops.
I'm not looking for 3 stars, I'm looking to get the loot, but it's nerfed so badly that I can't even break into the loot on a proper TH7 base.
and don't say I'm bad at attacking because I used to regularly 3 star TH7 with barch and still had lots of archers left,
While I think it is sneaky to increase the prices of Barbs and Archers the update is an all-round decent update.
The good
-For me, Queen is working better than ever with the same response from my fellow clan mates
-Dark spells look cool and add more excitement and possible troop combos (imagine Valks under haste?)
-Dark spells also unlock possible future opposites for you guys (and gals) to add stuff which is always nice
-The queuing for spells is great, love this and needed it for so long. The troop overview is great
-The second air sweeper is going to be interesting since I've only just started doing GoVaLo (only just got my lv6 loons), I think it'll add more spice to clan wars and ruin attackers who didn't really plan ahead
-The leagues, while something I may not use do look cool. And should do great for the "trophy economy" to spread out the ladder of trophy pushers. Also gives them more meaning (who knows what Legend Points might do later on??)
-Less Zapping, quite nice to know (and to confirm) that you all to listen to the community, not saying you don't. Nice to see it happen, don't get that enough these days (next step, better support! aha....)
The bad
-Barching, yes no-one likes their most used farming comp to be higher in price (I know not everyone uses Barch). While it won't stop people from Barching I hope this isn't the start of the farming nerfs. If barching is taken away as a good option many (mainly causal) may not be able to keep all five builders going (quite hard at late TH9), people won't be attacking as often (as people will be forced to use better army comps which take longer) and they'll get raided. Ride that shield and not attack for a while longer. (Of course not everyone will)
In the long term, it can damage the amount of farming people do. That is of course if there are further nerfs.
So far it seems alright (could be the opening of higher Barb and Archer levels?).
-Seems to be the odd bug as people has mentioned, I thought at first everyone who is in League "1" don't get a number since they are in the highest of that league. So no obstructive number for the league shield, looks nice to me but does seem a little odd.
-Also has been mentioned before, people who don't have the new dark spells are shown to have it on their profile despite being TH7 and under or are not even building (let alone have) the factory.
In the middle
I guess I should have done this in the middle eh?
-Infernos, we all know they are powerful and are great at killing Golems etc when on single. Now they have been buffed for it? I guess its good so TH10 are protected by undeniably the best defence in the game (next to the blower/hairdyrer/windmill/fart machine/sweeper, well maybe not) which should be worth their weight.
Thing is, recently there has been a ton of defence buffs, I'm just worried that it might all be too far? Then again, haste spell to get to them quickly? I guess we have more spells as well in total which helps in attack (none of which will save the Golems, (ha sounds like an appeal, "Save the Golems")).
Also, time. Is time running out as more Hp is added to the overall base? Do the new spells cut it? then look at the Inferno buff. TH10s are going to have a hard time, possibly to counter Larva-loonian.
-Last thing, Dragons are kind of pointless at anything higher than TH9. Even these lv5s, I don't hold much hope for. If they're like the upgrade from l3 to lv4 then again, it is fairly pointless. The only thing I see going for the Dragons is if some units got special abilities at their max level (or near enough) which effects troops, towers etc. Some sort of buff to make them worth while and have a use in army compositions. Eg. Dragons (meant to be scary right?) if attacking CC troops/a defensive structure, the defender's attack rate is cut but 20%. Could add a passive dot instead (fire, burning right?).
Hopefully that was a fair view
Overall, I think it is a good update which has been long overdue and well waited for.

Negative.
The bug which shows all Dark Elixir spells in the profile is annoying, really hope that gets fixed in a Maintenance soon. Always when new members join that is handy to scan what they do/do not have. It will continue to be a nuisance until fixed.
Barch cost increase, surely the HP increase on buildings is enough to test the limits of barch. But to make it cost more at the same time is overkill.

AQ AI...I actually think it is better! Doing some raids I'm thinking, surely she will start wasting away on a wall soon. But she is using her reach more to shoot over walls. That's fantastic!
Pre cooking spells, as well as shorter spells. Two huge ticks for me!
Making PEKKA & Dragon a little cheaper, very happy with that. The biggest and most powerful troops should be expensive, but it was just too much before. Feels like a better balance now.
Moving Lv 4 Dragon to TH9. Good idea, lv 3 Dragons against a strong TH9 is suicide, especially now a second Sweeper is involved the idea would be futile. That extra power there looks like a good balance decision.
Storage spell immunity, gives true meaning to 'storage'. Been able to steal well protected storages without a single troop was always a flaw in the game in my view.
Still not sure
Higher HP on buildings, TH10 battles are already seriously hard to win and this just makes it harder. But it may make more sense when I have the extra power of dark spells.
Dark Spells, don't have them yet so cannot comment. Dark Spell Factory under construction!
New leagues & tournaments, until I push again [once BK is 40] I don't know.
Atm im a th7 so only the more minor changes affected me, but in a week or 2 I'll be a th8 and I cannot wait for the dark spell! The only thing is before the update I had a full elixir storage and after the update ive noticed its been starting to drop. I don't know if thats because of the new barch training cost or just me getting raided more (probably the last one coz of all the th8s wanting elixir)
Ok, I have several things.
I will start with the good. I very much am pleased that the new leagues are here, I think that was long over due. I also think that having the dark spells is great. Especially because they are specialty spells of the others. I think the new troop training menu is nice, if not a bit over the top. Also, I think Barch was in need of a nerf. What is the point of just putting down hordes of units and calling that strategy. Good job on that. Thank you for fixing the ATs as before it was actually worse then when they shot at cannon rate. Also, I like the attacking screen fixes. The smaller loot bar and change in the star 'container' look great.
There are some problems though. The league icons look awful. They all are shaded so much where they just look like an outline colored in only one color. That just is not something that is impressive at all. People should be impressed as to what the next badge is so they want to achieve it. Right now sub-bronze is enviable (slight exaggeration). Also, the game has been crashing a lot. Mostly while I am talking with my clan mates, thankfully none while attacking. Of course you know by now that the Dark spells appear as unlocked to everyone, but it must be mentioned.
Changes that I think should be made to improve are as follows. I think an achievement or two added would be a good thing. I presume the new leagues are to get people to push in trophies and I think that achievements would make that happen a lot faster. I also think taking Zapping was a mistake. It was good for low players beacause a) they got some easy DE and B) higher levels left them alone. Now that is gone and I think it will be a negative for the game. Lastly, when the DE spells are brewing it looks awful. I zoomed in and thought I saw swirls, but really tough to tell. It just looks like a neon colored circle in the middle, and would look a lot better if there were more pronounced affects in the fluids.
I liked this update and followed it closely. It was well done, I just hope you guys fix the small problems so that it truly is seen as one of the best updates to the game.
There is a bug that will crash your game when opening top clans screen
League badges do not display "1"s on them; for example, a silver 1 player will have the silver emblem on their profile, but no "I" on top of the emblem. This happens for every league, but does not happen for Leagues with 2 or 3 at the end (Gold 2, Titan 3)
It's most likely been mentioned elsewhere, but not being able to see the spells you already have ready from the 'brew' screen is pretty annoying. Kind of a pain to have to switch over to the troop overview tab and back to see what you've got. Otherwise, great update!

I read almost all of these and yet I'm stunned that no one mentioned the poison spell! Is it just me or does this make almost every good unit in war cc totally useless? I'm a TH9 and building the spell factory gives you a free spell to easily kill any barb, arch, minion, witch, or wizard! Before you at least had to take a lightning spell placed just right to take them out, but you do so at the cost of one of your 4 spells. Now you can just take them out for free without wasting any spells! This is a massive nerf to centralized CC bases. Now what do you put in there? Oka yea, a valk and a couple max balloons will do decently, but not against air. And they don't do nearly as good as wizards and witches (you can beat the dps of 3-4 wizards with 1-2 valks).
I mean before it actually took skill. I was just getting good at luring cc units and kill them with a balloon or a valk. But now you almost don't even need to lure. Just send in the units the poison down almost any unit that will come out of there! And if a lvl 4 drag comes out who cares? sure he'll hit your golem 3-4 times (if you're using golems) but then he'll die to wizards or AQ. It's much better than your golems getting hit 3-4 times by 3-4 level 5+ wizards...
The fact that you used to get 3* with barch precisely proved that it was too powerful.

Not impressed with new update. The Dark spells i see as cute, but mostly irrelevant. Altho haste might be used by some air attackers.
The effectiveness of lvl 5 drags remains to b seen. Unless its a huge upgrade from lvl 4, i dont see their role changing much.
The viewing menu of what spells & troops u have cooking? Unnecessary IMO.
And the new league badges are awful. Simply awful. I have zero desire to push to champs or titans league.

Archers cost entirely too much elix. Paying 100 extra per troop going from lvl5 to lvl6 is insane. For an extra +2 damage???? Come on. 100k for 200 lvl7 archers? Wow. By far the worst part of the upgrade.
I'm also not a fan of moving the attack/defensive/mail history icon to the top only to replace it with an arguably pointless troop preview screen. If anything, that should have gone up top. Why change the location of something that has always been there. Confusing.
Whether you raid or war, the archer queen AI has to change. Simply makes no sense for her to abandon a more proximal 3000+ dark elixir payout for an empty gold storage on the outside of the base. I get you don't want the queen to shoot at random walls, but i would take that 100x over her prancing around the base. Just give us that back.
I am not impressed at all. I am TH9. I like to farm and is not funny how my troops quickly disappear by lv6 archers tower !!!!. I had a hard time having level 6 of troops and no longer makes sense to accelerate barracks to grow because it is not profitable.
The spells are made faster, but can not be used to farm because I lose more than I get. I was online a few hours and I have not made much progress, and I'm not a rookie.
I was extremely hyped for the update when all the sneak peaks came out. Now i am disgusted. All the supposed "fixed" AI's are obviously not fixed at all. There are obvious bugs that show supercells lack of caring. All they care about is making money. They nerf barch YET AGAIN, and dont even add it in as a main change when it is a HUGE change. They tried to sneak in this nerf so people will use higher troops, ex- wiz, so they spend more gems and armies take more time. Supercell needs to fix this ASAP. And enough with the ♥♥ selfish money making methods that just ♥♥♥♥ the community off
I know right. And the only problem with the old AQ A.I. that I had was she'd waste time NOT shooting a cross section in a wall, and attack the piece next to it, and then double back and destroy another piece to progress. This caused a slight delay in the attack, but it was manageable.
Old AQ AI was simple:
Attack the nearest building, and if a wall is in the way, break it.
Now it's this weird Attack the nearest building, BUT, if a wall is in the way, check for an alternative building to attack. If that building is 6 tiles or less farther than the nearest building behind the wall, walk away and go for that one.
This results in this moron AQ turning into a PEKKA and just walking around the base like an idiot.
Lack of caring. Come on, now. Lol. A happy gaming community makes SC money. Bugs ... Any idea how hard it is for them to identify all bugs in beta mode before launching an update? So many things dozens/hundreds of beta testers couldnt possibly discover. Which is why they have feedback forums, and you know they are paying close attention. Any fixes needed will be made.
I say make your opinion heard, describe the issue, and what bothers you. Let's not get carried away re: supercell lack of caring lol.
I think they should increase the speed of arrow in flying when coming out of the archer tower but lower the speed of archer tower firing the arrows to compensate
But th10's aren't 3 starrable because of CC units alone. Mainly because of all the high HP cannons, archer towers, teslas and inferno towers. And even if that were the case, then switch poison spell and haste spell. Make haste unlockable at th8 and poison unlockable at th10.
Grey out the dark spells in the profile if the player hasn't got access to them yet. Right now it looks like everyone has level 1 of all 3.
Maybe even shift them over a little so they are above the dark troops to make clear which cost elixir and which DE.
Dark spell bugs in profile... really? Is it that huge of a deal that you would expect beta testers to pay that close attention to it. So easily missed. So easily fixed.
And the AI for AQ ... any idea how difficult AI programming must be? And frankly, I'm a level 160 and I have been farming all day and I have not noticed what people are referring to with AQs going back out of core. Not once... I have always cleared carefully with my barching and my AQ is still going straight in, just like she is supposed to.
I watch this video about AQ AI and while I will admit that it surprised me a tad to see AQ going back out... who just dumps all troops from the North? Barch out to in towards entry point on each side. But I admit that it seems over zealous of her.

My point is, if I were a beta tester, I would never have noticed it personally. All I know is that my AQ isnt shooting at walls to sharpen her arrows anymore. Thus, it is easily missed as well. They will fix it if need be. Give it some time.
I agree 100 percent with everything the original poster said. Definitely a weak update in my opinion. I'd like to add 2 things that annoyed the hell out of me.
1)Clan war search appears to be broken for some. Our clan has been searching for hours.
2) Most importantly, what was the purpose of raising the price of archers? Absolutely insane. In my opinion particularly for level 6. There's a big jump going from level 4 to level 5 and from 6 to level 7. But level 6 only gives you a +2 advantage from level 5 and now cost 300 vs 200, it just seems out of balance to me.
I need a moderator to respond this one, we ended a war and we saw that to win XP Now you need to 3 star bases.
before you have to pass a percentage of stars to win XP, its these a real change???

In the meeting of youtubers. users asked galadon and chief pat favorite attack. They said GOWIPE !!. They did not mention dragons or something combined with them.
So ... why not lower the pekka to TH9, most attacks in war with dragons in TH9 ?.
All wars in which I participated the TH9 use any other troops, but do not use dragons.
On the other hand I applaud other changes such as immunization stores against lightning or any other spell.

But since no one can get 7 stars by themselves, it must be totals. And for some reason, they gave us really low and very easily achieved total stars.
I dont like the barchers being nerfed. And the hp are so hard now. We need the old barchers and hp back again.
Did Gold League 1 lose the 1 in the badge? Also, the same for the other League 1s in Bronze, Silver, etc.
Will there be a gem reward for reaching Titan league?
Barch nerf overall was a bit too much in my opinion, either increease the cost to make barch and leave the building HP alone, or increase buildings HP and leave cost of barch alone. Doing both at once was a bit overkill. :unsure:
My personal 2c. YMMV.
Pros:
- No more zapping.
- Reduced spell training time.
Cons:
- The font is now too small. Harder to read certain things like the amount of loot you have & army screens.
- Everything seems to small (icons etc), I'm guessing because of cramming more stuff onto the army screen.
- Related to the above, seems to be harder to select troops when attacking. Just dropped five rage on someones tree :facepalm:
- Guessing there's a bigger picture, but why increase barch cost?
- Related to the above, why the building HP increase?
Meh
- New leagues.

New wallbreakers AI is horrible. Before they would target walls that are still enclosing structures, but now they target junctions and what happens next? They get killed before they could destroy a single wall. This is very annnoying, especially in high champion game plays.
How can destroying a junction 10-15 tiles away be better than destroying a wall 2-3 tiles right in front?

The update was great. Love the new spells.
This update is all about helping kids quit CoC, cheaper than rehab I guess...
so I just did a balloonion raid, and the minions just died outside of the de storage . so i send in my archer queen, and she looks like she is going for it, she turns away and shoots an archer tower 15 tiles away. i cleared enough surrounding structures where the old queen AI would hit the wall and take the juicy dark elixir that was available, instead she shoots building off to the side because she won't shoot at empty enclosures... as i much as i hate to say it...change the queen back to her old stupid self...

Also, those upset about barching "nerf". That's a false statement. I was sitting on just over 1.2million gold and just over 100K elixir this morning. Two hour boost, farming in Silver 2, up to where I am now, I think I earned a little bit of gold/elixir.
These things take time to get used to. Only thing I don't like is how you can't see spells when cooking them, hoping they change that next update. :)

The spell factory. Why do we need to use two screens to see what's in stock and then what to brew? It used to be all in once place. Inefficient and annoying. Please fix.

Awesome Update. Especially I love Level 4 drags for th9! That's really awesome. But why are war searches taking so long . its been more than 11 hours since we have found our match. And I want level 8 Archers and Barbs for th10 and Level 7 archers and barbs for th9! That would be really amazing

I feel that dark spells are very necessary and the second air sweeper was definitely needed to balace, yet i feel we need some sort of ground defense that helps balance the ground attacks...like something that also pushes the troops away. Lastly, i do not feel heroes should be available when upgrading because if you know youre going to upgrade, then opt out of war!

I know many of these things have already been stated, but let me chime in with my thoughts.
Clan wars: many, many bugs. We obtained only 15 stars in a 10 v 10 war, yet the bonus 25 xp was given to us because it said we only needed 3 stars to get that xp instead of 18 ;). so, nice for us, but still a glitch. also, on one of our clanmates' attacks, his jump deployed without him touching it and his BK was unable to be raged. Another bug.
League related:
-People in Titan 1 have Champion III.
-Leagues with a I don't have anything on their shield at all, not sure if glitch or supposed to be like that.
-Please, PLEASE redo champion emblem. Very unimpressive compared to previous shield.
Miscellaneous:
-The increase in hp in buildings is not necessary or welcome. And with the added air sweeper, I feel as if you guys are forcing people to use ground attacks. As a th9 I have pushed to champion with lavaloonian; now, I fear I must go back to a strategy that I don't even know exists. Gowipe and gowiwi are not great now. I'm honestly not sure what to do in farming or clan wars.
Props on the spell brewing; however, this update has too many glitches to call it a success quite yet.

I do like the organization of one screen popup to get to all the barracks and spells. Like the addition of the dark spells, although i haven't been able to test them out yet. Meh on the hair dryer.
Didn't like that my WB took a detour instead of the wall right in front of where i deployed them.
Didn't like that my AQ went around the base like a pekka despite funneling her like i usually do. Wizs deployed to clear the garbage, enemy king about 6-8 tiles away beating the brains outta my giants, i deploy queen thinking she'll target enemy king to help giants and she takes off to the nearest building on outside of base which was about 15 tiles away?
Feel bad for the Champs....shield is embarrassing!
