There definitely won't be pleasing everyone, but I think the theme of most of these posts is similar in nature: given two choices between her old AI and the new one, the vote is rollback.
She is totally ignoring jump spells and not aiding units being attacked by opposing heros or CC troops to leave a compartment and head back to the outside.
In my last war as a TH 10 (post update), I used a golavaloonion army comp, along with my heroes and numerous spells. As you know, each different unit/spells takes up 1 space/selector on the bottom display bar. If you have more than 11+ seletors, the bottom attacking display bar will scroll horizontally. This makes it more difficult to choose/deploy your units precisely, which is counterproductive in a game that focuses on attacking.
My solution would be to automatically remove depleted selectors from the display bar when they reach 0, this way you won't be able to click on them. Implementing this change will naturally reduce the horizontal scrolling of the display bar as your attack progresses.
I think this is very important and people should get behind it now, that way SC can implement a fix asap. Especially since there's 3 additional dark spells, which just adds to problem of horizontal scrolling. Think about it, most advanced TH 10 war attackers will now be taking 5+ spells into battle, along with both heroes/cc troops and then their attacking army comp. Just heroes and spells alone, we're already up to 7+ units display. As well, I'm sure SC plans to introduce new troops in the future, this will only add to the problem if it's not fixed now.
Obviously, Hero Icons will stay in the display bar and not be removed automatically once deployed, since we have to click on the icon again to use their royal ability. The only con I see to my solution is that some people (myself included) like to click an already depleted troop to avoid accidentally deploying a troop/spell. Simple solution to this, would be to add an empty display unit preferably near Hero Icons, that we can click onto instead OR click on the depleted CC troops icon.

Queen AI seems bad. Drags i have no use for right now. Love the spells although i see no use to upgrade earthquake past level 1, nor is it better than jump.
I like the update, but whatever in hell you did to matchmaking, change it back. Last two wars 25 th10s for us compared to 36 for the enemy, much better upgraded than ours, and now 26 th10 for us and 33 to the enemy. They have 15 maxed to our 6.
serious AQ fault for people like me who use AQ as main troop to see her ignoring jump spells to run round base like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and get taken out quick is spoiling game . And yes I funnel I funnelled entire side and even an army camp either side blew wall with breakers. What did AQ do still ran off it's pathetic needs addressing rapid starting to lose interest in game tbh (MAX TH9 BTW played for 2 years got over 100 lava walls etc etc) so I'm no noob but this is horrible

Totally agree. I didn't have a problem with the old queen. She may have screwed a few war ATTACKS up but she also did immense damage on other attacks and got me the 3
theres a a few higher players that has some bad luck and next thing you know the change the Entire games AI.

Totally agree troop Ai is horrendus. They want to travel too far now instead of going after a wall and busting in further. I'd prefer my troops to go inwards instead of sideways.
I haven't even used queen cause she's on her way to 21 but im sure I'd agree with what most people's complaints are with her.
Here is some more bad AQ AI in action. You'll see in the video with the enemy AQ in range she prioritizes a wall first then turns to face the enemy AQ before picking off a gold storage then actually heads into the base to take out a wiz tower and attack the enemy AQ pedestal before taking an arrow to the back of the head and finally dealing with the enemy AQ. Scary unpredictable stuff going on here, yet I still manages to 3 star on this golaloon raid. It should have been a landslide victory instead of pulling it out in the dying seconds as my aq should have never doubled back into the base because that wall should have never been broken in the first place. Anyhow you'll see just how bad it is in this video.

Enemy AQ definitely closer than the gold storage in that video, and while the wall was closer, why didn't she move close and simply snipe the enemy AQ from the other side or even the wiz tower instead of picking off the wall? That's 3 closer targets that she failed on.

In your case you left her no buildings to target within range so she went to the barracks instead. The reason why she ignored the jump spell is because that barracks is technically closer because she has to walk into position and shoot instead of walk, jump, position and shoot. Less "steps" to get there. You could have turned her back with a well placed wizard though, but you didn't bring any.
bring back the old toggling for troops. the new ones are not sensitive and have delay..
and bring back the speed of arrows of Archer Towers they become too OP on Barching..soon barching will die and no can farm with it then alot of baching lovers will quit.lol
also bring back the old price for Barbs and archers the price is too much for tier one troops.
so far so good..but pls bring that features back they function very well in the game why u need to change them.
Um, same for the troop AI, so why even bother quoting...? We all know the new AQ AI sucks just the same. No one wants to talk about basic troop AI which is just as horrid. Sadly I gave up both Giarch and Barch for just Archers, and have been rolling around in monies. Sadly I wait for collector base farm hour and hit it like a boss... -_-

My Lightning Spell is not working against storages!
Lightning Spells no longer have any effect on storages. Try dropping one of them on an unsuspecting Dark Elixir storage, and a force field surrounding the storage will protect the precious juice inside. It will protect yours, too, the next time someone drops a bolt of lightning on your hard-earned loot.
Zapping was never intended to be used as a quick way to gain the resource type that you're short on. We know many players used it for getting Dark Elixir in particular, but an even greater number of players felt this made the Lightning Spell a trick for converting Elixir into other resources. We agree, and concluded that this type of tactic is not in the spirit of Clash.
So we can all go back to scoring loot the old fashioned way: with strategy, with integrity, and with lots and lots of thieving Goblins.

Gameplay starts to get annoying with raiding. There is no easy loot, archers cost so much it is too hard to make elixir, it is hard to maintain cups when winning 5 and losing 25 since one of the heros is mostly upgrading. Using "real" armies is slow and I dont want to wait to play 3 mins then wait 45 mins doing something else. Boom beach is for play once in a day. And these expensive armies fail from time to time too. I play because I want to relax and switch my brain off and not to think too much, just moderate easy clicking and be happy to get sometimes a good loot and upgrade my walls.
30 minutes later they are hitting thier collectors and mines making sure no one steals thier resources... LOL!
It's pretty lame that you kids raise the price to build CC, when you already added other ♥♥♥♥ that takes so much more. All the DE spells on top of the existing upgrades is just weak. SC also keeps adding things, but not balancing the time or cost. Being a veteran of FFXI I know how long can feel, but this is ridiculous(Like EQ failness.). As the game progresses it takes even longer to upgrade stuffs... Meaning new players will have to slave away even harder to catch up(Worse than current players.). What are you going to do in 10 years, when the game takes 4 - 5 years just to max out, assuming you don't add more stuff? The more you add; the more th10 non rushed seems like a pipe dream. With the new current ♥♥♥♥ AI, I probably should rush the rest of my TH9.5 base... Because it keeps getting farther and farther away, and the troops can't take s**t anyway. -_-
I haven't attacked with a bunch of different troops and spells yet, so I didn't realize this before but the new scrolling troop bar is the reason selecting troops has been troublesome since the update. Since the bar is scrollable now, the game has to figure out when you touch the screen whether you are trying to scroll the bar or selecta troop. Because of this, I'm guessing supercell programmed a small delay of the touch response time so the game has time to read whether the touch is moving (user trying to scroll) or stationary (user trying to select). That added delay is just enough to mess up people's troop selections.
Anyway, not sure how they could go about fixing this, honestly adding extra slots vertically on the left or the right side of the screen so no scrolling is needed might be good. Ugly, but at least it would be responsive.
EDIT: actually, never mind, I guess the horizontal scroll has been around previously so that can't be it.
Why we need dark spell and earth spell ? Dragons sucks like allways you can`t do to much with them ! Haste Spell and rage spell allmost the same why 2 spells like this ? why not 1 spell something like indestructeble for 3 4 seconds immortals troops ? The dark barack not filled with troops and we wait mor then 1 year for a new troop and when we get , we get new upgrade at something we allready have that sucks to sorry to say but not to much good in the new update instead of 3 new spells , 1 good spell its better , you could make the arc tower at max shoot 2 3 troops in 2 3 different directions because 3 4 archers in tower will be cool .... you guys work a lot on the game and we play a lot but when you get something new make it worth it the time...
Last year a friend of mine just quit coc when you supercell downgrade the heroes. He gems it from zero to max.

New leagues seems like not gonna work, or at least for a couple months.you needs to give more achievement to make lower champ willing to push.

The bronze 1 silver 1 gold 1 crystal 1 etc..... Badges look a bit silly.And the champions badges should be like they used to look.Last week when I saw a champions badge I felt respect and hastened to see if I could invite them but not the badge just look completely low grade and it does not look like a privilege to be in the champ league.even Titan badges look the same.Having the war stars on the top of the profile are great
on android, DE spells are now greyed out and badges all have 1, 2 and 3 next to it in corner which looks much better. On IPad, DE spells are all coloured in and badges are still missing numbers including number 1. Will there be a quick maintenance shortly to fix this?
The updated hp of all the building sucks. Really sucks for barching. Bring back the old hp. The old coc is more fun than this updated game. Tbh

The games become very aggravating, as the old saying goes, "if it ain't broke don't fix it", the troops AI, with increase building HP and increase troop cost has really taken the fun out of the game. I can completely understand making the game more challenging when people figure it out, but this has been a very negative experience overall. The forums are riddled with complaints about the same things over and over. There needs to be adjustments made to this update to bring the fun back. Please Supercell listen to your audience.
pre update the loot was excellent, post update it's become laughable, something has been changed on Supercells end to impact this, it can't just be coincidence.

I did a like 75% clear laloon and had the base empty from 8:00 to 4:00. Drop aq at 12:00 and she skips the th behind two small layers and walks all the way to like 7:00 of outside of base killing stuff... Seriously lost my mind.
i can't trust her for anything now. That's my only complaint... I rather her hit a wall and me predict that then she run around crazy on her own. They need to tone it back some she is looking too far out imo.

This is my first post on these forums. I am a th9 who played his way there and have been on for over a year. I think you may need to take a look at the so called pathing fix from this patch. Maybe it was just bad luck but last war I had 6-7 wizzies stop attacking the center of the base ( where the town hall is) and back track all the way to the outside where they attacked useless targets until getting picked off by a single Archer tower. The reason they left the center where I wanted them (and had funneled them to) was because the king who I set up to tank for them destroyed the building in front of them. The wall in front of them was now considered "useless" by the A.I. and a new path was chosen...poorly. It cost me a star in the war since I could not take the town hall with just my king.
I like the idea of better pathing and units not banging uselessly on walls. However you need to be sure they are taking the best path in the direction I point them, not just the easiest path regardless of where it leads.
Heroes abilities nerf??? This is not in the changelog..... Healing when aabilities are activated is notnot the same as pre update. Please supercell please include this on the official change log
I think the New Archer Queen AI doesn't work the way it was intended. She refuses to use the funneling path into the core. Instead she just goes around the base. Even if outside buildings are cleared, she walks around the base and shoots the buildings in the 1st layer. It would be great if you (SC) find a solution to this problem. Until then, please, change the AI back to how it was pre update.

After the update, I have to drop her early in the raid or she fails now. I got her working again.
In your raid, I would drop her will there's still buildings by the attacking side close to the wall that you need core. That way she can follow a trail of buildings. If I wait until 75% clear, there are no buildings within 5 tiles for her to attack. She will look for any building, before she hits a wall.
No loot as before the update you now have to spend double the time to search for it
Im still finding loot ok, but queen is still frustrating, and I continue to experience weird glitches. I couldn't attack in war because it stated war was about to end (7hrs left), and my regular seasonal attack statistics were partially reset. This may not be a function of the update, but I haven't had this happen before.

For the love of god please change the unit and spell boxes back to their original sizes. Everybody misclicking troops and spells everywhere!
The A.I should be adjusted. Troops avoid walls a bit too much to the point their behavior can be classified erratic, illogical and or just plain stupid. An example while I was raiding today:

I had a few hogs taking down the AT. They correctly pathed to the mortar and finally to the cannon afterwards. The archer tower and the mortar were taken down. The cannon survived. Indicated by the brown line
Before the update the giants would have start busting through two layers of walls to get to the cannon. Indicated by the black line. Notice the tesla's are already out so distraction due to them popping up is not a factor

When I was raiding I expected them to avoid one layer of wall and start beating the layer of wall indicated by the arrow. This would have been a very well received improvement and would indicate very smart A.I pathing post-update

Instead this happened. They avoided both the "Breaking through 2 layers of wall option" and the "Breaking through 1 layer of wall option" to walk all the way over to the tesla's. This is illogical behavior. If my archers were already deployed they would have been abandoned by their meat shields and get picked off by the defenses. If this was a war attack with a golem and some wizards my wizards would have been left stranded endangering the possibility of a three star. It's a townhall 8 in this example so it would have been three starred anyways but you get my point: meat shield - firepower separation due to an over avoidance of walls.
I was trying out some bases today, and one of them got hammered on defense. So I went to change it back to my usual base, and it was telling me that some of the buildings had been removed as there were obstacles.
I went and looked, and to my surprise, a whole bunch of buildings had been removed. The reason? There were a bunch of tombstones where those buildings used to be. Obviously, once I clicked on a tombstone, they all got removed, and when I cancelled and came out of that base layout, it was no longer having that obstruction symbol.
Bug? Pretty sure it wasn't like this before the update.

The new symbols near player's names in the chat suck!! In particular the champion's one...
And the missing "I" over the first division of the leagues is nonsense... Why you removed it?
You should also adjust the AI, troops avoid walls, but often too much, and go around the village..
The rest of the update is very good.
I'm townhall 10, max trophies of 3660. Since the update I lost almost 150 trophies. Funny thing is I am still climbing within my league because the rest is losing even more trophies. I don't want to urge you, supercell to any specific action, but I massivly doubt if I will continue the game for a long time in the future. Please find a way to balance things again.

yes the bottom bar for raiding. Something is definitely off, I misclick everytime i select any unit and more often than not the unit doesnt change and i keep spamming the same unit and have to stare at the troop bar at the bottom constantly to make sure i select what i want. Even then its iffy. I used to be able to know where all my units were on the bar and select them with ease (and focus on my attack), now i cant change units for the life of me and im not alone.
There's definitely something wrong with the UI... I was trying to click my AQ to drop her last night, and it wouldn't switch to her. I just finished the raid without her, and moved on with my life. I've also dropped a couple of healing spells in the middle of nowhere, and dropped the wrong troops in the wrong places.
what I like about the update is the lvl 5 dragon, Storage protection, New Spells, and new league. other than that is useless, specially nerfing the Barch! also the loot seems to be decreased. before I can farm 4m-5m gold/elix in 2 hours straight using Barch at Silver III, barracks boosted. now 2m-3m for 2 hours Barching barracks boosted @ silver III. Im TH8 MAX TROOPS.

I am really fed up with those update which have so huge impact on the game balancing.
Hitpoints increase (around 6000 points / 2 to 2500 points on defenses only) makes the attacks you control unuseful.
You spend time to analyse, understand, try before managing an attack that allows you to get 3 stars.
And when you control it, Supercell changes the rules...
Your attacks cannot bring 3 stars anymore and you have to begin again at the starting point.
All you learn, all the skills you develop are lost with update.
I now think to stop the game.

As a whole, I believe the update did a lot of good. The new dark spells are really cool, i don't mind the extra hitpoints on the buildings, although it has made barch tougher ( I will deal with that lol), and the improved king AI is great! I love that zapping is gone, just have to find where the loot is now:smirk:, but this whole update is scarred because of the queen AI. I was hopeful that she would be smarter because of this, but they have made her SO anti-walls that she will not jump over them with jump spells, and continues to run outside of bases over and over and over and over and over again. When choosing her next target, she completely disregards jump spells as providing a way to the closest building, and she will run alll the way around the base to a building that wasn't even close to her just to avoid walls. It is terrible, to be honest. I think if they changed the queen AI to be more like the king, that would be awesome! I don't mind if she hits walls sometimes, but this new queen is even worse than before.
New AQ sucks, apart from that I like the update.
A few minutes ag i noticed in the Play Store an another update for Clash of Clans. But when i logged in,i noticed the graphics on the badges has changed. I prefer more the badge of the first update.Now i can't return back,but i don't mind. But it will be great if you changed that ugly badge. They are so awful.
I don't like the second air sweeper. With them in the middle air strike in useless. Air defence is to strong now. :thumbsdown:
I just dnt get the point pushing trophies when you are climbing up leagues, useless idea getting 6 trophies when you win and 31trophies less when you lose. Whats the sense? I came from crystal 1 and droped my trophy down to silver2 at once. Been disapointed of such system. Comparing, getting 31 trophies from silver league with the same th level you were atacking from crystal? I cant see the competitiveness..
You are definitely not hard core because you were considering gemming aq from 25 to 40. It's more like soft core in my eyes lol. A "hardcore" player would raid to get the aq to 40.
I have been barching just fine with no issues concerning any of the issues other people seem to be having but then I always carry 12 wbs with me on every raid. I noticed quite a few of the people on here complaining probably would have had no issue if they had brought a couple of wbs with them.
Otherwise great update supercell don't let the haters get you down! Sure there is some bumps in the road but unlike the kids on here I am a adult and so I understand this is just part of the process of getting it done. Keep making this game even better and I will keep clashing and kicking butt.
You should be happy that TH10's attack you, they will only get 50% of your loot. Only 25% in the case of your TH7 friends.
If a TH9 were to find you, you'd lose even more.

it is not about the resources that i will lose buddy.
let us say that th10/th9 can raid th7/8 and getting let say atleast 100k resources. and he will only cook 5-10minutes sometimes less if boosted, can you imagine how that cowards gain resources without using extra effort.
you dont know how farming works. they will not attack lower bases for nothing. think carefully

Overall I like the update, a lot. But there's a few things I thought were not great changes.
First the Pros:
- The dark spell factory. It's beautifully scripted. And adds a new depth to the game in terms of army composition, Defense CC troop management, and the decision making process of how to attack.
- The AI of the troops with regards to how they will now stop attacking a wall when the building or buildings behind the wall are destroyed. This was a constant source of frustration and it was a very elegant, simple, and permanent solution to that problem.
- The improved look of the attack screen. I love how the resources availiable and that you currently have are smaller now. It is easier to see the big picture. And the new look of the troop icons look very cool.
And the Cons:
- The largest problem to me seems to be the reduced sensitivity in troop swapping. When I have a spell selected and I click to a different spell or troop, the sensitivity with how hard I need to press the next spell to get it to change. Several times I have not succeeded in changing troops and ended up dropping spells out in no-mans-land healing nothing but blades of grass. I think the troop swap sensitivity should be put back to how it was before the update.
- The wall breaker A.I. was over corrected. They seem to be overcoreected. But I am very happy with how quickly you reverted these changes back to their original programming. I think a good change to wall breakers would be to not make them smarter, but actually make them dumber! If they were to blindly go straight forward from where they are deployed only deviating to avoid sections of walls that are already opened or to get deeper in a base it would give an attacker much more control over the flow of battle.
- Archer Queen AI seems to have been over-corrected. There needed to be something done, but they seem to have gone a bit too far with changing their direction when there is a wall between them and their next possible targets. Maybe if the queen could better understand her own range and use that to select targets she would more often walk closer to walls to shoot over then without getting stuck on an actual wall.
These are my main points and feelings on the current patch.
Big thanks to supercell for continuing to listen to their players and the community and to be constantly working to make this game enjoyable for everybody. As players we really appreciate it. Keep up the good work SC!

Dark spell factory... I love this! EQ spell doesn't have much worth except for fun and a few circumstances but I like how it will add to strategy.
New leagues dont affect me, but I suppose it's great for high level pushers.
Spell training time reduced is much needed. I like it a lot.

The building hp increase...well it hasn't been too much of a pain yet.. but I think it will be a huge factor. It is needed yes, but I think it's too much. Maybe about 5% rather than 10-12%.
THE QUEEN: NOT ONE RAID HAS SHE DONE WHAT I WANT HER TO. I have not gotten to the de storage on anyone except a th8 I three starred. I have done several different ways of clearing to funnel, but she still goes on her scenic tour of the base. I never had too much of a problem before, besides the occasional uneeded wall, though it usually wasn't too bad. Please. I liked it the way it was. Maybe the not bashing on compartments where the target is good though.
Hello, I just want to tell you guys that maybe you should fix the multiplayer matchmaking thing. I am in gold II almost gold I and I keep getting matched with people from sliver I. If it's gold III I can understand that but sliver I? I think there is something wrong with the matchmaking system. Thanks!!
When I drop the BK, AQ, or Pekka, the only thing I know for certain is they'll go any direction but the core.
Please bring back old AI. The walla avoidance that happens now is ruining the game.
No its not just me whining. It's truly terrible.
Bah, barching with my th9 (lvl6 barbs, lvl5 archers) in Silver 3 (a few in 2), an hour and ten minutes worth of attacks (with boosted barracks), I took in 1.6million gold and 1.4million elixir, and 3300 DE. Total, I ended up going from 350,000ish gold and 700K elixir, to 3.2+million of each.
It's terrible. smh /s
Absolutely agree about how bad the queen AI update was/is. Lets just call it a good try and revert it back like the wallbreakers.

I have to say from what I read from people in the forums about the queen it doesn't seem like anything is wrong anymore. Everyone just claims she is broken and the people who put up images just show her going to the nearest building. I even saw a video from Galadon (Clash of Clans attack) and the queen went around and he even admitted that's correct (though not what he wanted) since she was targeting nearest building. It's the same with archers and wizards. I thought it was common logic that it is easier to get non-range troops to the center of the village than it is to get range range troops to the middle since they get sidetracked to easily. Maybe there is something wrong with AQ and if it is I would advice those complaining to show better evidence and explanation other than she went around so SC can acknowledge the problem cause as it stands the argument that AQ is broken looks rather weak.
please bring back the old ai of queen.presentl the queen behaving very random.i farm for heroes so cant depend on queen if it doesnt go to the core.i was able to 3 star a base in cw but the increased hp in structure make it difficult.still getting used to it.it will be easy if i understand the new ai of aq.i like the new contents though.thank u
There cannot be a single person who likes the AI better now. It's broken.
Ppl sticking up for it are being contrarian or trolling.
No one cares wether I continue to play or quit, but this AI update has ruined the game for me.
