Do the changes to the jump spell make any difference to its playability or is it still a useless spell?
It seemed like it got a major bump but I just don't see how it is going to make it worth using over a good rage or lighting spell

Jump spells are useless because why waste valuable gold to get a giant or archer over if you can use a hog rider and save your spell inventory for a good rage or lightning spell.

The level 1 duration is the same as before, 20 seconds, and doubles at level 2. I don't use it all the time but it's come in handy once in a while. I still do see a reason to upgrade it, more time might be nice but 20 seconds is still plenty of time for goblins to take a few segments.
The jump spell was useful prior to the update when properly employed, after the update it is ever more awesome because it now jumps all troops at level one. So now when you hop your goblins the barb king can join in on the fun.

Hope it can easily take down the town hall.
I'm TH8, my base is designed to protect my DE storage. No one came close to getting my DE for months until someone attacked with lvl6 barbs & jump spells. Until then I never saw anyone use jump, it was a sight to behold. probably the most underutilized spell in the game.
