Haste Overpowered?

Right now people are complaining about all of the new spells being weak/cliche/pointless etc. but I think the haste spell most definitely is not. As a th9 I could bring 9 haste spells on an attack, but many people say "why do that when you can bring 5 rage and get speed and damge boosts?" Balloons. Balloons are why, first off, 9 spells are a lot better than 5, secondly, haste increases speed by a lot more than rage, but the biggest reason of all, balloons travel in clumps and already desl massive damage, so the damage boost provided by rage is useless in most situations. That said, I think that balloonion/lavaloonion with 2 heal spells and 5 haste spells will be extremely overpowered. Anyone else agree?

I agree, and I actually really like this spells look, I'm just annoyed with all of the people calling it stupid and useless lol

I'm totally agree with you, Balloon 6 already an over powered troops so using 5 rage spell is useless i think 1 heal spell rest haste spell sounds good in LavaLoon raid 1 heal spell heal lava and rest of haste spell speed up those pirate balloons!

Hasye te will only be good after initial drop. Without an IAS buff or increased damage it won't matter how long it takes a loon to get from point A to point B if it just sits there getting shot at :p

First off I think you are jumping to conclusions. I mean seriously. The update hasn't even come out yet. And secondly, have you forgotten about the second air sweeper? Maybe taking haste is a way to potentially combat the extra air sweeper. Only time will truly tell though.

The two air sweeper is design to compensate the haste spell. I'm sure SC did a lot of testing to balance it out. If it doesn't work out, then they rebalance it in future updates. This game is constantly being updated so its not like the end of the world. If you quit give other clashers a favor and leave your storages and collections outside your base.

​The poison spell will probably end up replacing the lightning spells in high lv spell comps.

Just thought of another good use for rage. Speeding loons to ATs now that they won't be able to 1v1 lvl 11 ATs. You could bring 2 or so with you on a Raid that uses clean up loons

Possibly, but we won't know until it happens. And if it did start happening, players would probably start to react with new defense strategies, such as setting a 'super red bomb trap' where at least 2 or even 4 are bunched together. That will end a whole pack of unhealed balloons fast.

It shouldn't be considered overpowered unless it can stack (like the poison spell apparently will be), which I personally doubt won't happen. And like the others said- with two sides of air coverage with the extra Sweeper it should generally balance out against most bases- balloons and haste may only be 'overpowered' if there is a weakness in the base that is being attacked that way, such as an impractical Sweeper directions and/or placement. We'll just have to wait and see really.

Just movement. It's not bad with loons and giants but it's not worth using 2 haste over 1 rage

it does stack. If you rage and haste it will take whichever movement speed buff is the highest nor will it stack on top of anothe haste spell for double speed

I know the haste increases speed, but does it also increase the speed at which the loons drop bombs or just the movement from defense to defense.

Haste increases movement speed, not attack speed.
