Ring or moat style bases typically aren't very good in general, and you've placed all of your storages in a single (easily accessible) compartment. If you're trying to protect your resources there is no reason to have the th inside the walls, put it in whatever corner is furthest from your base. I'll add a link to my best th 8 base at the bottom, if nothing else it should give you some ideas.
