Dark troop: Gremlins or Slimers

Gremlins or Slimers* would be a ranged unit that tossed/spit slime balls almost like a short ranged mortar. They would target defenses and when their slime balls hit their target they bounce to another building or defense nearby. So if they attacked a mortar it would bounce to 2 more buildings nearby targeting defense bounces over building bounces.
Their bounces would have reduced damage compared to the initial blast.

* I couldn't decide on gremlins or slimers as the name. Slimers makes more sense, but Gremlins just sounds cool.

What do you guys think?

Another idea for it. it would throw the slime like a mortar still, but instead of bouncing it would have an AOE\spash damage. Instead of harming buildings around it. it would set off bombs and traps. So if there is say an archer tower it targets. It would hit the archer tower and cause a blast/shockwave that set off any nearby bombs or springs within X amount of squares.
