Detonate the Lavahounds!
Howdy Supercell,
I just got 96% on a TH8 with 20 max loons and 4 level 2 lavahounds (plus a max hound in CC)... My downfall was the fact that only two of my hounds were popped by the defenses, and the pups were quickly picked off... the other hounds and my remaining loons were left to clean up the non-defense structures, and time ran out before they got to the last few items.
Here's my idea, and I would LOVE to see this added to the game:
After all hounds are deployed (regardless of how many), let the user detonate the hounds by clicking on the grayed-out hound icon. Having this feature would have saved me on more than one attack, and it would add a little extra strategy to aerial assaults.
I'd love to hear feedback from other clashers as well... This is my first post to the forum, and I'm sure it won't be my last.
Clash on!

It's an interesting idea, and would certainly create a more immersive experience. However, some users might argue that it takes away from the strategy of using damage sponges and damage dealers together in equilibrium. Personally, I think the idea could be beneficial to higher level raiding, but might come with possible cons.
If balloons destroy most or all of the other defenses, and also end up wiping themselves out, it might be seen as poor strategy on the attacker's part to have deployed lacking strategy or forgo bringing other troops. To give players who are seen as "unprepared" to raid "properly", an extra advantage could be looked down upon by many in the community, especially those who experiment with new troop combinations.
Another issue is that detonating all lava hounds simultaneously may not be beneficial. If one hound is preoccupied with an x-bow, and the other is on a side where the supporting minions had died, then detonating the hounds could screw up one flank of the assault and potentially the entire raid. Of course, there is always the accidental detonation problem, which could be costly to a war raid, and costly dark elixir-wise.
A final problem is inferno towers. If all air defenses are dealt with, and hounds have moved onto inferno towers, couldn't one detonate the hounds to exploit both weaknesses of the inferno tower modes? After being distracted, a wave of rage balloons might decimate the base, with no surefire way to prevent that kind of raid without spacing out inferno towers greatly.
All in all, with some tweaks to the proposal, the plan might eradicate the few flaws it does have. Personally, I'd like the feature.

Nope.
Bad Idea- This would make hound raids too OP.
Part of planning a good attack is understanding how many of what troop to use. This would bring an unfair advantage to air attacks.

It does sound pretty good, but like the above, it wouldn't be beneficial to detonate them all at once. Instead, tapping on the one to detonate would be a better system.

take note people, this is a fresh spawn that is not about zapping.

Support manual detonation of lava hounds, despite the OP presenting a case of an apparent very poor attack strategy. Lava hounds are not available at TH8, and in such a mismatch a failure to win three stars is a strategy failure.
To avoid complicating the interface, the option should be only to detonate all lava hounds at once, after a delay after all lava hounds have been launched, by pressing the same lava hound button, much as you use the same button to rage the King and Queen.
Yes, this will make lava hounds more versatile and therefore more powerful.
It will add a little bit of strategy to the very little strategy available to input after troops are launched.
