Seriously everyone would stay at same trophies 1 star is how most raids end up
OP I'm gonna assume you aren't a very high level player. When you get up to higher levels, 1 star victories are the norm.
And that's my point. They should not be the norm. A 1* star draw will force all the high trophy players to get proper wins and not just cheese 50% from non defensive buildings and whatever they can scrape off the sides of bases. And if they fail this and just get 50% then they have lost zero trophies. So nothing lost and they get to keep any resources they have farmed.
Go watch some high level gameplay. They aren't "cheesing" for the 50%. they are using big armies. This would change gameplay to a much more shelled/closed-in style. Instead of how it is now with defenses spread out to cover a lot of ground, it would make people huddle all their defenses around their TH. This is not a good idea.
I see your point. And I have seen high level gameplay videos But at the moment they are using their large armies for the 50%. And totally not caring about the TH. Only attacking it if the TH gets in the way. What's the point of a TH giving a star as no one high level goes for it. The TH should have some significance.
And yes as you say the game play if my idea was adopted, would change. But that's not a bad thing. If people mass their defences around their TH, it leaves their resources a lot less defended, so they would be easier targets for farmers. So it's a fair trade off. And thus farmers would have an easier time getting their loot. And all farmers would like better chances at higher loot farmed per raid.
