Ash a popular strategist and many others have reccomended to go to th9 esrly and start on heros and walls early because i farmed my walls to 8 and BK to level 10 in less than 3 weeks. If i stay at th8 i will be stalled on walls and heros because im maxed on those already. But if i go to th9 i will be able to start on heros and walls already while upgrading my point defences and other stuff. What route should i take?

Go 9 or start a second account or both. After all what will you do with your time? If you missed anything at TH8, your second will give you another chance at it.Quote:

I think a rule of tumb would be to finnish your defense buildings in TH8 and then move on up. TH8 have almost double the lab tech than defense build time. And TH9 have according to others it the other way around. I am TH9 myself and i went to TH9 after all defenses except my teslas, walls and tech was finnished. Looking back at it i wish i did finnish the teslas aswell since they are one of your best buildings in TH9.
Once i got TH9 i had full 6 million elixir and 70-80K DE. It is important to know the priority once you get here. Catching up on TH9 offensive perks trumps all defenses you can get. So focus on this.
Archer Queen lvl 1 + upgrade to lvl 2 (lvl 1 got no build time) 62,500 Dark Elixir
Labratory for upgrades 2,500,000 elixir. (Renember that it takes 5 days and any research already activated will continiue to research while the labratory upgrades. So if you start a long upgrade before you hit TH9, you can refill your elixir storrages to max again and have upgrades going on while you upgrade!)
Spell Factory 1,600,000 elixir
Clan Castle 5,000,000 gold.
If you have 4 builders, this is what you want right away. If you have 5 then you have 1 free atm and 1,900,000 elixir. Getting all your 4 army camps to level 7 is your only priority with all builders from now. It might feel hard since you now are a TH9 without any TH9 benefits. Each camp cost 2,500,000 elixir, so the first one should not be to hard to farm elixir for.
Dont worry to much about walls. Once you catch up on the offensice perks and tech for your farm army, its a walk in the park if you want.
I hope that helps you out some.

In terms of lab upgrades, focus on farming troops first, then your favourite war troops. Keep both heroes upgrading as much as possible. Stick to BAM for fast and efficient raiding.

Now that the walls are done, get all your troops unlocked. There's no need for you to max out TH8. Many others in this thread have already detailed how much elixir you will waste. Once you're done unlocking your troops, go. Defenses don't matter in multiplayer if you don't have loot to be stolen :)
Wars are a different story, but if you have the offensive firepower to back up your bad defenses it wont matter anyway
This is probably the most succinct way to put it. Work on offense first and defenses after. As for defenses you should do: splash/air defense first, then teslas and archer towers/cannons last.Quote:

my alt went th9 with th7 defenses and only had 1 healer barracks (drags not unlocked). as soon as I reach lv10 BK and full skulls I upgraded th9 ASAP.

I'll start by saying im a super active farmer, there are a couple times during the week i can sit down and do 2 or 3 barracks boosting two times in a row and do id say 5 or 6 2-3hrs of farming times a week. It is my intension to up arch/barb/gob/giants in lab then move on to 9 right away so i was thinkin a month or so at 8, maybe do spells or hogs to 3 or 4 if i have extra time. Im intending to max 2nd drill, storages, barracks, CC is done, and maybe some AD's but nothing new so I dont hurt clan in war being a planned rush.
any advice for or against this?
