TH9 to TH10??? What's the current thinking? June 2015

I have practically maxed out my TH9 base and am getting bored!

Heroes are 20/20 and the only exceptions are my 4 ADs and wall. I have over half Legos and the rest skulls.

I never get attacked other than my TH, as it's outside and at 2400+ there seem to be plenty content on just picking up the trophies and loot bonus but thankfully not mine.

Question is, what's the up to date thinking on the loot penalty at TH10?

I find it hard enough finding abandoned bases at this level and am just wondering that despite the possible upgrade in troops at TH10, I am going to find it even harder during my couple of times a week that I attack in earnest.

I moved to TH10 nearly 4 months ago and the loot is better at TH10. I've found my return per hour has increased which I've put down to the larger troop capacity which keeps me in a higher league and thus a larger loot bonus.

Yes, that's something I haven't considered. It was tough maintaining 2600+ for the 100k bonus so I dropped to 2400. But with better troops and defences, a lazy player like me could probably maintain a higher trophy count/league.

I'm still a new th10. Been here less than 2 weeks. To be honest I'm getting pummeled regularly for 400/400k. I'm getting one of my infernos to level. The second starting soon too. They tell me that things get better when you have both level 2 infernos. We will see. Farming at silver 2 and loot is similar to gold 2 as a th9. For a couple weeks make the commitment to farm in sessions and you'll be fine.

Slow and steady.

get those full Legos and make the jump! The water is warmer than you think :)

Well finding dead bases around 2400 is as hard for a th9 as for a th10 I assume. They are around, but I rarely see them up here. If you're losing interest because you don't want to grind out walls/heroes alone go on up to th10. It's not like those few attacks you make a week will really help out maxing walls.

Overall your status as a th9 is far better than most th10s I've seen. You should be fine. If you're only relying on dead bases you need to pick up some new tactics though. Try out a gibarch or loonion, spice things up a little. Barching over and over again is indeed the most efficient, but also very tedious. Good luck in your Clash career ;)

Simply put, if you are bored.. than move on to the next TH and enjoy the new toys.

There is no right or wrong way to play. Just have fun.

Yes. Good point, well made. I must admit I've neglected using any other troops than the basic ones. I had a stint of using hogs and minions but then the whole anti-hog thing took off and I resorted back to what I knew best; Giants, Archers, Barbarians, Goblins, Wallbreakers and 4 maxed Healing Spells.

I'm tempted to start upgrading my Golems, as like my balloons, I've never felt the need to upgrade them.

I upgraded to TH10 just over a week ago - got both my infernos yesterday! My experience - the loot has gone down horribly. I have tried trophy ranges from 900-2000 and sometimes I get lucky. But the number and quality of collector raids is hands down much worse than TH9.

In general, storage raids aren't worth it if you are going for elixir. But if you are going for gold, you can pick on a lot of rushed/poorly designed TH9 bases :thumbsup:

The "good" news - the upgrades take so long now that it won't matter unless you are trying something insane like going for all camp upgrades after infernos instead of doing both gold and elixir upgrades.

Disclaimer: I felt like this when I moved to TH9 too. So maybe it is just psychological.

I am in Silver too, but I haven't been pummeled even once even though 400k/400k/3000 was available from my base regularly. Just got my infernos yesterday, so it should be even more safe now. Did you max your TH9 defences? My walls are lvl9. If you did this too, then either you are unlucky or I am lucky. Zappers though :mad:

Totally agree with the advice to farm in sessions though. I may not lose much, but rearming traps for 70-100k is not fun. Or being zapped thrice in a row :thumbsdown:
