I like the ditch a lot, so I spent the hard earned diamonds to get it. Didn't spend any real money, just use what I have. Now behold, my beautiful ditch :smirk::smirk::smirk::smirk:

Could you please let us know how many pieces it took to achieve your ditch? Not that I now plan to buy any anytime soon, but for future reference.
No emojis, very expensive diamond stuff, derby controversial rules, vouchers dying every new update, disgusting same design pets but so expensive.. ....
SC had a very great update in their hands.. but they killed it with wrongs decisions this days...
why you didnt add the ditch and trails to voucher list?? 8 diamonds really?? i will need more than 5000 DIAMONDS to decorate my farm with both things, CRAZY...
I can see where you're coming from. I have a fear for the direction things might be heading in Hay Day, but I don't think it is there yet.
It is a pity, from my point of view anyway, to see someone who obviously has been enjoying the game feel so despondent. Only for that reason, for your own sake, I would urge you to sleep on things, get a fresh day's perspective, or just play as normal for a week forgetting the update, so you can remind yourself what you like about it.
Could it be that instead of abandoning the game, your group might find a new way to enjoy it? Maybe it is an opportunity to check some spending (SC's loss!!) and take enjoyment from doing things a different way?
Don't think me cheeky, I mean this as a compliment really, but I see your signature says:
Always remember, every difficulty in life is really an opportunity in disguise.
I think that's a great outlook to have!
Here's my attempt...can't remember how many pieces though

Had a huge talk in my nh about how fantastic this update was going to be and how excited we were about it getting here. Like so many others have already commented; What a letdown. 8 diamonds for a single ditch segment is ridiculously frivolous. Obviously the ones making the decisions about pricing falls under one of two categories. Those at Supercell hoping players will purchase more diamonds turning a profit, or game makers with the magic "diamond god" button, having forgotten how hard it is to build a farm with minimal diamonds, and without god keys.
As for me... I still have too many machines that need my diamonds for an upgrade so no cute trails or ditches for me.
To end on a positive note... The best thing to come from this update... To gift for the level 100+ players. While I won't qualify for many moons to come, it's still a very nice gesture on Supercell's part.
There is no need to pay for any diamonds. i bought diamonds when I was like level 10 for $5 and have never bought any since. I only use Tom for axes and saws, so that is like 15 diamonds every 4 or 5 months. Other than that, I wait until i earn diamonds. There is a great satisfaction from spending diamonds earned rather than purchased. i would try that if i were you to see if you can get the same enjoyment that I and millions of others do without spending any money.
Few in my hood buy diamonds. If they do, that is their choice and no pressure is put on anyone else. We always finish in top 3 in derby so there is no need to do so to win. Even if we do not win, we get 5 horseshoes.
Rather than pack it up, give a different playing style a try. If you notice the pictures being posted, most of the players buying ditches are high level. When you get high enough you do not need coins and diamonds are available as most machines have already had slots opened. I got 50 diamonds at one time for one of the achievements (forgot which one it was). Then you can spend on decos. Gives you something to work towards.
