More Forum Moderators/Admins

Every day on the forums, you see about 20 of the same threads on about 10 different topics, so basically a ton of useless, spam threads. All the mods or admins never do anything about it and it's kind of ridiculous. There are a ton of active, everyday forum users that could easily become mods and limit the spam so better, relavant ideas can be seen other than the usual zapping, gem mine, donate loot, etc.

Yep, there should be more moderators and admins

and who do you suppose would pay for that? supercell only has 3 games which they thankfully make free and having more mods and adm would cost money. Hiring more people is probably not a solution for them. However, I do agree with you that there are useless garbage on these threads.

Perhaps some other solution is:

1. Each tread must first go through a mod who either rejects or accepts the proposal. Which may also require more time from the mod, but shouldn't they be reading these threads anyways?
2. They can develop a system where people who want to post threads have to go through a series of questions:

What is your suggestion: Select one,

IE: defense building improvement
Troop improvement
New defense building
New troop
etc.
etc.

Then already band ideas could be thrown out before even hitting the threads. Also, ideas already being discussed wont be repeated because the person submitting the suggestion can be sent to another current thread on the same topic.
This solution may take some time and there will be some bugs but in the long run it should help COC mods and adm in reading useless and already band threads. Of course it benefits us because we don't want to see the same stuff discussed one million times.

pRETTY SURE mod is a volunteer thing. No one gets payed. Besides, your idea of having threads approved by mods, if they do get payed, whose going to pay that guy overtime?

Mods are volunteering. They don't get payed for moderating. Supercell has 4 games too.

For your first reason, are you actually serious? Do you know how many threads are made per day? Mods have their lives to deal with too, and people might get angry at the wait for making a thread.

The second one won't work either. Someone could just put false info and make a thread about a ruled out idea.

yeah mods are volunteers, and from modding other forums I can tell you having to approve each new thread would take way more time than having a couple more mods policing the nonsense.

I hope this catches a least a bit wind, getting tired of seeing the same things time after time

More moderators would be achievable, if any members truly wanted to help the place they would eventually earn the title. Look at Lach. He really did care about the place and now has the tools to take that a step further.

Admins a different story, that is actual paid SuperCell staff. Seeing them around here a little more would sure be nice though.

I agree completely - definitely need more mods roaming the forums. Second part i disagree with, I think there isn't a "ton of active, everyday forum users that could easily become mods." No there isn't a ton but there is a few, not to mention names that have been around for a long time and have mature sensible attitudes that could easily do the job.

I more then agree. They introduced that the ruled out ideas will be deleted. Nobody reports the threads that are ruled out (sometimes 6 on the first page) because the report cool down is 2 minutes. :facepalm:
And it's not like a mod is in this sub form that much because they all hang out in general, forum games, etc. As a result this sub form is out of control.

The taxpayers, obviously.
(being a moderator is not a paid job, bud)

But no, honestly all we need is a feature built into this forum that, after a new member registers, will subsequently ban that member permanently. Problem solved.
