How much $$ spent becomes too much?

I lasted up until level 70 with 4 builders only spending 5$ for the 500 gem bundle. On a side note I find it a joke/scam they charge tax. You don't see prepaid game cards require you to pay tax..

Just recently got the 2500 gem bundle for my fifth builder. I deemed it was worth putting 20$ into this game after playing on and off since October 2012.

Time is also money; if I'm spending so much time on a game I'm already losing $$. So I don't believe in the "I'll play for 100+ hours but not spend $$" unless it doesn't effect game play. IE: LoL skins.

Well for me, the whole time is money thing is the frame of mind when talking about your job

although this game makes us forget that from time to time, this shouldnt be looked at as another job

the time we put into it is for a return of fun, not money

It is whatever you feel comfortable with. If you find enjoyment from the game you will have invested well. You have to remember that of you bought a normal game on pc it would cost around 50 to 100 dollars

Way i look at it....
every month i used to buy a play station /Xbox game. Now i dont play Xbox beacuse i play coc so .... The money i used to spend on games i was spending on coc. There is no difference from spending money on Xbox to playing this game. Just dont add it all up in the end as it does make you feel sick lol

Just to add an international element - taxes are charged by Apple re local law, in the UK the price you see is the price you pay, I understand in the US they add on whatever it might be in the state where you are.

its not about how much u spent will be too much or not, its about what is the benefits behind ur spending.

I spent above 3000$ but really its too much because I couldn't even get something from them.


in other games big games like ffxi online, I spend similar amount even less and I was like a boss there, and I wasn't in the top yet. but there was a lot of work need to be done even if u buy, it give u privilege but not everything and there are thigns u need to do and nothing in this world can get it for u unless u work hard, and I mean work hard not 24/7,

but here u can gem simply anything anything at all, so here it will be too much for anything beyond the builders.

I hope SC will balance the game that's all we are looking for then im ready to pay a lot!!!! but not this way sorry, all I need something that cant be gemmed and need work, and some strategy to be add on the game. not only farm and save ur money.

yea and if you buy a iTunes card at the store you get charged tax then as well... our state tax is 10% so I pay 20% tax which causes me not to buy gems as often as I want... I buy gift cards because i dont want my cc on file in case people were wondering...

on topic time is money and if you enjoy playing for free or paying occasionally, as long as youre having fun and dont regret your decisions then its not too much.

Lol you copied my life story.
I also started playing in October. I spent $5 for extra gems for the 4th worker, and later another $20 for the 5th. I think I was also around level 60-70 when I bought both workers too.
That's all i've spent on the game.
If there was a 6th worker, I wouldn't buy it (although it surely is needed now with 2 heroes!)
