Donation restrictions

im the leader of a new clan and we are half full of th 6 and lower and it's really annoying when you ask for a golem or giant in war and when you request some 1 gives you a goblin or barbarian and then when you ask why they say to earn elder. Then you need to wait another 15 minuits to request again and it's really annoying if you just go on every hour or 2 to check on the clan chat and collect resources or attack. This means you need to go on coc more often then you want.

SO I think it would be great if you could select which troops and what level they need to be to be allowed to be donated in your cc. I think it would be like the lab or barracks where you select the troop but when you select the troop you can pick the option 'min level' which is where you can choose the lowest level of that troop can be donated.there should also be a select all button aswwll but select an amount of levels they need to be to be donated

Gut your clan of all the children and this will cease being a problem.

We have it is still all of the lower people who keep the clan together who are donating the wrong troops and trolls that we can catch are doing it

Don't give out elder based on donation numbers. Problem solved. Even better, boot them instantly next time. They intentionally hurt your clan. Why would you want them to stay around anyway? Which brings me to my argument against this idea.

I do not want the ability to restrict donations so that people can donate unwanted troops. That's right, I want them to . . . so I can boot them. If you make it impossible I will have to find other ways of identifying people who are bad for my clan. The longer it takes for me to identify and boot them the more damage they can cause. Spot them soon, boot them soon, better off because of it.

Better solution : find another clan who is more organized in donations bcz that kind of clans who don't respect donations can't evolue

The annoying thing is... They are all used to being given elder at donation numbers and the grinders only do it when no one is on (mostly 12:00) because me and a,, of the co-leaders wil be asleep then because we all live in the UK and only the people I know get co.and no one is on doc 24-7

This doesn't happen overnight. You need to keep doing this regularly until you have your solid core of members who aren't complete imbeciles.

I've been through/made two clans with most of the same core group of people, and we grow slowly as most of the players in this game are 10 year olds, idiots, or both. We've gotten to a point now where we have 40 members who I can totally trust that are both competent and reliable in wars. We have another 10 that I'm hoping work out, but most get recycled within a few days as they fail even our most basic competency checks. This process has taken me over 12 months to just get a solid 40 group. It takes time, you just need to be patient and do your house-cleaning regularly.

This perfectly explains what our clan has strived to achieve. We want only the best members. We don't do coleaders/elders based on status ranks, as it only causes various problems/drama. When "clash killer" joins our clan, the offensively-rushed TH6 with 800 shrubs cleared, and then we notice all our "giants, farming" requests filled up with lvl 3 goblins and barbs, we chop him immediately. We definitely didn't want him in war, so this was a great check for us as it allowed us to know he was not only completely useless, but would be a potential detriment to the clan if he stayed.

it's why every battle day of war, I start out with a message that says "Draw out cc troops, check for corner huts. Communicate with someone, anyone, before attacking. Hit what you can 3-star with both attacks, but hit what you will DEFINITELY 3-star with your 1st."

The only thing I look for is if they're attacking manageable bases, but moreso that they draw out the cc troops and place an archer on each corner hut after killing cc troops but before raiding the base. Just little competency checks that don't discriminate based on skill, but on mental preparation. The guy who dumps his 15 giants directly into a wizard-filled cc with both attacks? Gone. And that's a good thing, he'll find a clan he better belongs in, and it opens up a spot for us to fill with a quality member.

Well then it seems like it's about time to do a complete overhaul with how things in your clan are done. We don't do elders/coleaders as a status role, purely functional (accepting/chopping members, starting war, sending out clan mail). We don't have mandatory minimum donation ratios; our rule is that if you don't have what is being requested, let someone else donate who has them. So long as our members are active war participants, I never look at their donation ratios. War is what matters to us, and I don't care that the hardcore TH6 farmer in our clan has a 50:1200 donation ratio b/c he's aggressively trying to get his offense to TH7 levels so he can be a huge asset for us in wars vs TH7/8s.

I struggled through that a few times trying to build a core of dedicated players. One of the things that made those core players stick around was how fast they saw me take action when somebody was dragging us down. Yes, it is a struggle, yes you will keep your boots polished from all of the ♥♥♥♥ kicking you have to do. No, SC should not make it more difficult for us to identify which of these north bound mules we need to kick in their southern facing ends. Nor should they mark these players with some badge of shame, but that is slightly off topic. It is up to us to identify them and protect our own. It has been a great learning tool for my son and he has been able to apply those lessons in real life. Awesome that we were able to turn CoC into a learning tool for him.

If the argument comes down to providing a control mechanism versus finding a magical way to get people to always do what they are supposed to do, the default answer is the control mechanism. If this request is implemented the harm to the game will be absolute zero. So it begs the question why anyone would argue against it. A clan is up to 50 people who barely know each other and have limited means in game to communicate. Is the objection tough love and that people should manage their clans better? Or is it just part of the fun of the game dealing with incompetence, trolling, or even simple mistakes of others?

I kind of agree with you...

But this is relating more to the earlier posts. The difficulty of finding the griefers isn't harder as the people who want to stop them can just accept all troops and the people who won't help get rid of them will use the setting

Also im not saying to use it instead of the message when requesting but to have it as well as it so that if someone puts in the request message (hogs,dragons,ect) people will still be able to train the right troop before finding out they don't want it
