Harder punishment for the ones who abandon clans in war.

Cumulative war stats is given in the war hero achievement. Also, the first two are not a good idea because some people as they get better troops and/or practice they may actually become decent at war. However, since they were previously bad at war now their war stats prevents them from being selected for war. Furthermore, they would never be able to improve their war stats, no one would allow them back in.

Again . . . No. This is a bad idea every time it is suggested because it will cause more, worse problems than "hoppers" already represent. First, SC has a long standing policy of not putting a negative statistic/badge/mark/rank/etc. of any kind on any players profile. They have a fairly strict no name-n-shame policy, as they should. You can accept those ideas as ruled out at face value.

All of us clan leader types have experienced this and learned to preventing through our own leadership skills and clan rules. There is no need to institute a system that will punish the most social and giving players while making the lowest quality players more destructive.
In my time on the forum here I still have yet to see the answer to these simple questions. Why do you want to force somebody that you don't want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan?

Very good points. My clans practices some of these guidelines. However, some of these aren't always true and you could miss out on a truly exceptional clasher if you just kick people based on how they first approach the clan. First impressions aren't always a true judge of character.

I think it could have a harder punishment, like can't join another clan, can't receive and donate troops for some days, less bonus when steal gold and elixir, something that will make the player think twice before defecting, or even the chance for the ones in clan take revenge from the player. Or could have gifts to players that are longer in clan or a Player Reputation to help recruit honest players.


I think this will help a lot to the game keeps being Clash of CLANS!

I think a better solution would be if a clan leader or co-leader is allowed to switch someone else for that person. However, since of course you are thinking well I can mess with the system and bring my lv.200 guy in last minute. NO! only someone with a similar weighted base may be opted in for the person who left and only if the original person didn't use any attacks and has not been attacked in war (probably best to keep this option available if someone leaves during preparation day). If one of these people doesn't exist in your clan or you used all of your members in war then tough luck!

I refuse all applicants ineligible for war. If only this were more obvious, if war ineligibility was signalled in the join application.

Nice would be being able to view any clan members last couple of war attacks, no matter what clan it was in.

Not a good idea. It happened to me to leave my own clan to request a dragon in the general because I was up late and all the members of the clan were not connected so couldn't give me a dragon for my attack. So I changed the rules and opened the clan to everybody, and put a good friend as the leader. Then exchanged my dragon in another clan who was ok to help me and came back to my now open clan and did my attack.
So yeah just be more careful on who you recruit in clan wars

There are reasons WHY people leave, even during Wars. It's because the clan is bad and they left to join a better one, or the Leader/Co-leader added them in the War where they didn't want to.

Like what PokeManiac said, what if you added them in War but they never wanted to? They'll leave for sure. Here's a list of reasons (though the first two are already stated above), along with their rarity %:

1. The clan is bad and they want a better, stronger clan. Common
2. The Leader/Co-leaders added them in War though they never wanted to. Common
3. The opponent is too strong. Uncommon
4. They're trolling. Rare
5. They're visiting Clans but forgot to leave yours then you include them in War. Unusual
6. Some other reason...

Punishments just make it unfair for them BUT good for the punisher.

This is true, but based on my experience it is a very small %. Most quality players/people do not display the habits on that list in the first place. We may filter out one occasionally but it will be very rare and the HUGE reduction in trolls is worth it. YMMV

Simple answer, just don't put them in war or only put the people you know are loyal in war.
