The Crucible:

Players can issue a public challenge to battle for a prize pot. Anyone willing to accept the challenge would have to submit a fee be it elixir or gold, this fee would contribute to the "prize pot". Challengers can set limits on the number of players, the fee and ranks. So you could have 32 players participating in a crucible each submitting a fee of 50k gold/elixir that's 1.6m gold/elixir in the pot with possibly a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. There would have to be time limit in which to complete the challenge similar to that in the clan wars. Anyone unable to battle within the time limit would forfeit their fee.
