Hello All,
I just got my new TH8 and have noticed that the farming opportunites have thinned out and seem to be much less numerous. I have kept my trophies around 1150-1200. Are there really less farming opportunties or is it my imagination? Should i move my trophies? Ive noticed that sub-200 farming is a strategy as well, should i try that?
You're going to have a little more trouble as you level up your town hall Because lower town hall levels that you would attack now give you a greater loot penalty, that you did not have to deal with at TH7. There are other threads on here that talk more about TH penalties but honestly that is one of the main reasons that you are facing that struggle.

I know about the TH penalties and have researched them. At TH7 i was mainly attacking one TH above or below my level which only had a 10% loot penalty or bonus. Just didnt think it would make that much a difference. I know i would lose the effectiveness of looting TH6's but i didnt loot too many of them.
i farm at 1300 to 1400 trophys at th8. After about 10 or so next battles i find a base with at least 300k total loot. With my layout(12 giants 8 wb 60 gobs 64 archers) i get all of the resources 95 percent of them time. Also every couple days i find an abandoned base with over 800k total loot! I have gotten those multiple times!
