Better war matching
It seems that war matching has become significantly more random and mismatched since the last big update to wars. We very rarely seem to find ourselves pitted against an even opponent where either side has the opportunity to win depending on how well they attack and defend... Usually we can tell whether we will win or lose within the first few minutes of a 'match' being found as either the or opponent or us will be significantly higher in attack and defence capacity across the board.
Another (less important and more random) suggestion would be some new troops types in a new sort of barracks... Maybe split off magic wielding troops into a new barracks and introduce some new melee and dark troops to the existing barracks.

Surely someone must have realized by now that for every complaint about war mismatching, there is a clan out there that won't complain...
In my experience mismatching is more common with larger wars (25+ members). That is why my clan usually takes only 15 members to war, although we have an average of 40+ members. Sure, it slows down clan-upgrades, but we win an average of 7 out of 10 wars...

we've had very close matches recently.

Out of the last 10 wars, we have had just 2 close matches and all others where is was either no contest for us or the opponent. All were relatively small, either 15 or 20 with average of just over 30 people available for wars. There are lots of threads to support the fact that war matching has got worse but very little evidence to support that it has remained stable or improved... Hence the post here in suggestions for improvement!
