The floorplan looks good, I think :) a tesla just in front of AD is poison for air units' targetting. All it takes now is few hundred million gold and couple of months upgrading and you're golden :) Course many think I'm tad crazy with my base building ideology so...:cool:
Now just a thumbs up, without the loot :) Can already see the base in it's full glory, dropping all kinds of attacks down left and right.
With your mines and collectors all in a row, it makes it easy for someone to just take out the 6 mines or 6 collectors and move on. It's a definite loss for the attacker, but if there's a decent amount in them it's worth it to lose the trophies.
So my suggestion is to make it harder for folks like me to steal em and run. I'd probably move on and wouldn't bother if all 6 mines and all 6 collectors were more spread out around the outside of your base. Same with your DE drills too.

Hammer - You make a good point. I'll go fix this now. But I wont put up another screen shot of it, as it's the same thing with the outside buildings moved around to pretty much have every 2nd building a different resource type. And the inbetweeners are non resource buildings. Thanks.
Segment, stagger junctions and upgrade walls. With just 3-4 wallbreakers I could get to your core. Don't layer your walls, even if it looks pretty, it weakens the base by 10x. Make the attacker work to get the resources, and separate your resources into different compartments.

maynards35 - Thanks. I see your point. But my base is more a vault and not really a compartmental chessboard style. yes 3-4 wall breakers can get into my vault at the moment in theory. But when upgraded doing this will be very hard as you'll be under attack from multiple buildings at once. Even as my base stands now, it takes loads of units to get a 100% clear. And people are realising this and moving on to easier targets. I know this as my rate of being attacked is dropping.
Once I am more upgraded I'll re-evaluate things when I start trophy farming. Also I've watched some many replays. And they few good ones just break in past the moat and then just walk around in a circle trying to kill off all the defences. And leave the vault untouched. These ones usually get a 55% clear. So I just lose. But that's ok, as I'm not farming trophies now and my vault is untouched. I don't care for the generators as I stash their earnings often.

Yes, your base looks pretty. But it is ineffective. I can get to the core with a MAX of 5 wallbreakers. Any experienced attacker will know to shield his wallbreakers with a meat shield like giants or barbs before deploying them.
The double layered wall is useless. It just creates a tiny gap between one layer of walls and the next -- a single wallbreaker renders this useless. Even if you had higher level defences, it would be too easy to get into your core. Although sometimes a centralized core works well, it is too ineffective in this case, and would not defend well against any decent attacker.
I know you take a lot of pride in creating this base, but it is really not good. Sorry.
Edit: I saw the revised version, and the tesla compartments don't do much good. Wallbreakers target walls with a building inside of it, so it still requires the same number of wallbreakers to get into the core. Like Maynard said, layered walls are completely useless. You'd be better off using those extra walls to create more compartments so it's harder for wallbreakers to do their job.
My current defence log would disagree with you. I've been raided by players using 5-6 level 4 wall breakers on me. 5 players in the past 24 hours and not one of them managed to get into my vault. Despite having a ton of other units like level 4-5 giants and others. Only one of these players beat me. He got 55%. And was not even close to cracking the vault. He had just enough left in his large army + rage spell + 2x blue attack spell to kill enough buildings for the win.Quote:

For what I want at the moment, that being slowly upgrading the base, my vault base is no worse then a chessboard base. Only different. Chessboards use multiple walls to slow down the offence. I use high concentrated fire from many sides and the fact that giants will walk around the base killing the defences first and not crack the vault initially. By the time the giants are done with that and want to crack the inner vault they are all dead. The best offence vs me would be as you said be wall breakers (more then one though, you need two cause of the two walls (at my current wall level), then giants (or other tanks) to take on the defences then something else to crack the inner vault. Cause the tanks will keep going for the defences. No one thinks of this something else. I wish someone did though, then I'd know how well this base holds up vs that.
I can't talk for high level trophy play. But at my level. the 1k - 1.2k level, you are dead wrong in your assumption. Thanks for trying to help me though. I am aware my base is not unbeatable. But it is much improved from my initial design thanks to help here and most importantly it's fun. Without fun, I'd have quit this game long ago.
Once I have upgraded much of my base I'll re-evulate this design and see how effective it is for higher trophy levels. But for what I want now, it does the job rather well.
Still thanks for your input. I am not trying to dis you. Just saying the base at my level is more effective then it looks. But I do always look at my defeats to see where I can improve the base.
Edit: I was thinking about your tesla comment. And do the wall breakers still go for walls of hidden teslas? I'm not sure. That's an interesting question. And I don't make my teslas hidden. Well sure they are hidden but everyone can work out easily where they are. I could put some bombs inside the moat too. Just another option. That I will seriously look into now.
I'm not snubbing your advice, but I feel it's better suited for higher level trophy level farming. So I'll save it for then (or if my base starts getting smashed hard). At the moment my fault base is ok. But if anyone wants to offer advice I'll surely take it.
