i am also in similar potition, im no 1 in clan .. with legos lil lava, and 25/23 heroes. with new matchmaking, im decided to max my defense sooner than original plan ... as i faced inferno all the time, even inferno 2 ... somehow managed to 2 star them, thx to valkyrie ...
what my plan is to bring heroes lvl 30/30 and do upgrade th 10 ..
after that do inferno lvl 1 and do all new defense at th 9 lvl while maxing camp and troops.... with my heroes 30/30 and inferno 1 , do i get to faced inferno 3 in this new matchmaking ?
i dont mind absent in war for 1 month, but more than that would be boring ... should i go straight inferno 3 now or do as i plan ?
Sure you'll get match with level3 inferno with low point defenses and lower heroes bases ... Go get your inferno at least to level2... and more important is your freeze spell to level 3 to 4 even not max. Never mind the xbow for awhile.Quote:

If you ever check out OneHive videos, they have had a few very uneven matchups since the update. 6 th9.5's vs 13 and 19 or so th10's. I am a th9.5 right now with 25 zap walls and 31/21 heroes, max freeze and 240 troop space. After about 2-3 months of matchmaking, I can say it is a 50/50 experience. Still not positive but I don't think th9.5 is as effective as it used to be. Will most likely start building my infernos soon.
Im getting mixed reports on global. Some say it's worth it some say it's not. Im gonna try it out for a little and if our wars are lopsided then I will drop the infernos. We ran into two rushed th10s with infernos last war and me and my coleader 3 star'd em but a solid th10 might give us a run for our money. I am the leader of my clan so there's no way I'm sitting out for war haha.. And we war all the time so we're not just gonna stop for a month. We're getting close to that cc LVL 5 anyways. I'll try and report back to here and post the results of my th9.5 experiences. My TH will be finished upgrading in 12 days or so.
It's still a good route to take in my opinion.
I have been a townhall 9.5 for about 2 weeks now
and I am mostly being paired with a rushed
th 10 with 2 level 1 inferno. And I was matched with
a th 9 twice I think or thrice.

The major downside is the effect on your normal base. 10s have been coming hard after me now. Your raidable loot increases as a 10 and with no ITs or a 3rd xbow, you are a prime target for fellow 10s. I've lost a lot of dark elixir. Zappers have also hit me harder since I went to 10.
