9.5 no longer gives an advantage in war matching, better to use gold for defences than walls if you have legos.
Whether you spend gold on walls or defences, both options will give you a higher war ranking. Better to give your opposition an inferno to deal with than a couple of lava walls.
But infernos are weighted harder than any other defense.. It will bring upon multiple th10s in war opponents.. And I'll be responsible for attacking them with th9 offense.. I hear that even after the update walls and heroes still arnt weighted that much. Just wondering if there's any th9.5s out there that can chime in on this issue. But thank you everyone for all your input, I appreciate it!
Don't go all out 9.5 but don't get third xbow or infernos until you have 240 camp space and max freeze if you are in a hardcore war clan. Spend your gold upgrading air defenses, teslas, and archer towers while you wait. 20/20 heroes will be good enough to balance lvl 1 infernos once you finish the pre-reqs above but don't take them to 2 until your heroes get at least to 25 and you get golems, pekkas, and hounds maxed.
If you are in a high enough trophy league you will get sniped instantly once you log off so you aren't going to lose a huge amount to people farming you.
I say go up. to start any TH you should always focus on your offense first. I don't think you need to wait till 240 camps/lvl5 freeze though.
Your heroes are higher than a lot of people you will actually match in wars unless you are doing arranged wars with other clans.
Hold off on infernos and new xbow for a while. at least for the first month in order to get your camps at least started and your cc/spell fact/lab all up and running at max levels. I would slowly do teslas early as well as they take up 14 days and are nasty at lvl 8. You are going to need A LOT of elixir at the start of TH10 so be prepared to either farm LOTS or stagger your elixir upgrades. Everything takes 6mil+ at TH10.
As far as you being a target - You won't be. I started TH10 without infernos or new xbow for over a month and still just got my TH sniped. Didn't matter what league - Master/Crystal/Gold/Silver. Your walls and heroes will scare people away.

ThePeskyDingo is right. Offense before Defense, You'll be fine as long as you push offensive upgrades as a priority whenever you feel it's appropriate to move up. (as a maxer, near maxer, rusher, etc, always O > D)Quote:

Total: 122 days! With only two builders working on that project list it will take 61 days.
This gives you 55 days of lab time before you start building any defenses (if you do Lab day 1). There are also trap upgrades you can do before you start on defenses proper that will extend this window.
Candidates for lab (90 days):
Farming Troops (archer + one of barb/giant is 28, minions add 14)
Lava Hound 3: 12
Golem 5: 14
Freeze: 36
There's no real reason to pause your builders (at 9.5) before you start defenses. After they finish offense and economy, a pair of Inferno Tower 3's can keep your pair of builders busy for the next 31 days. At that point you'll be 92 days into TH10, with full offense, +13/+13 on heros, and a pair of IT 3's. Labwise, you'll have max Barb/Archer/Freeze/Golem/Lava Hound (whichever is the last project will have 4 days left in lab), with almost the full Lava Hound Clan Wars package. (WB/Wiz/Jump/Lightning are minor boosts over the next 45 days)
Thank you everyone for your input! It helps a lot. I think the second I become th10 im gonna upgrade my cc, lab, and SF (and possibly build the DE drill). Then leave the other one/two builders for walls/heroes. Once my lab is finished I think I might go golems first. They're pretty much in every war strat and they cost DE to upgrade so I can use my elixir for army camps. After golems im thinking wizards for donating to my non th10 clan members.. Then freeze lvl2, then archer/pekka, then freeze lvl3 , then archer/PEKKA (whichever I didn't do first), then freeze lvl4, then giants, then PEKKA. Hound and wallbreakers will be in that mix somewhere too.. Not really sure what troops have the biggest improvement at th10.. Haven't researched that yet.. And sometime around freeze lvl3/4 I might drop infernos.. Although I met a guy that had full zaps with 40/40 heroes and he was still th9.5. Said he didn't need infernos or the extra xbow or any of the th10 defenses.. Gives hope for me, but I will not be choosing that route haha.. I want my infernos
Once I go to 10, I'll upgrade all my dark troops first to dump
purple drink into camps and such plus I'll then have all dark to
use upgrading heros
By that time there is TH11 already :D.... Seriously now, can't you skip war for the meantime? So you could do both defense and offense the same time and balance your clan war line without you.... This will also help defend your base (village) in multiplayer session. Go get the infernos and upgrade your normal offense plan and importantly the freeze..Quote:

Just my though.. only an advise, take it or leave it. Its that matter what in your mind is the best...
