TH 9.5 still worth it after the update??

Im the highest th9 in my clan and im going to make the leap to th10 soon. Heroes 20/20 with all lego walls and working on lavas. Is it still worth it to go the th9.5 route? We war a lot and I don't want to throw off the balance in matchmaking. I want to build up my offense troops/spells before I build th10 defenses and have to contend against the big boys. But at the same time, is it harder to farm as a th10 with th9 defense after the new matchmaking update? I feel like I'm going to be a target the second I start building up loot.. Hopefully someone who's been down this road can give me some insight. thanks!

I think you may be overreacting. If you have a good farming base, hang out in an appropriate league, and attack more than you defend... there is nothing to worry about.

Just keep maxing. All these people are way overreacting about this matchmaking improvement.

So should I go for th9.5? I feel like it's the best transition to th10..

What do you even mean by th 9.5?? I'm a half max th 9 (only walls and heroes left) and I've never heard of this...

th9.5 is when you upgrade to th10 but you don't upgrade any defenses past max th9 level nor do you start building ITs, third xbow, or extra cannon and AT. You continue to upgrade army camps, troops, freeze spell, cc and heroes. This way in clan wars match making you are still weighted as a th9 but you have the offense of a th10. So when you do drop the ITs and xbow, you are prepared to fight the th10s that you are matched up against in future wars. Im ready for th10. Seriously getting bored of farming walls/heroes. Plus I can continue with this as a th9.5

if you're bored then why not hit the upgrade button? you just gotta enjoy the game the way you want.
plus 5 spells (freeze unlocked) makes things easier so much.

Well it's not the question of do I want to upgrade or not.. Haha its do I go th9.5 or do I go th10?
