Nerfing Troop Donations

This is why you join a good clan. So you can grow and fight in war with good troops.

I detect a note of frustration from a noob player who's th5 got wrecked in war by another th5 with some max hogs or something. In this noobs clan he doesn't have any max hogs. Sorry bro. Find a better clan or just keep growing your base and leveling up.

What happens with troops the recipient can't build? Max lvl1 troops, no troops?

I like it the way it is plus it would feel like we were getting ripped off, A lvl 5 pekka costs 50k, donate to someone who only has a lvl1 pekka and it gets downgraded to a lvl2 pekka worth 35k.

I like donating high level troops to help out low level players and don't think it should change.

The lvl5 clan perk significantly reduced the burden on our th10s for some war level troops.

Here's my problem with it, bud. I don't want to donate my expensive lvl 5 hogs to a TH6 who receives in his clan castle measly lvl 2 hogs, b/c a TH7 lab can only get and upgrade hogs to level 2. Or worse, what if I donate my L5 hogs to a TH5? Do I just forfeit that 195 oil b/c TH6s and therefore the TH6 lab cannot get/upgrade to level 1 hogs? Answer me that one.

EDIT: webbie beat me to it. But yes, I don't want to be donating my 3500 elixir L7 giants or 4500 L6 balloons to TH5/6s who are going to be receiving lvl 3/4s of them. You'd force all clans to only accept members that were all within 2 TH ranges.

Interesting thought. I hadn't considered troop value. I suppose you could get a troop donation refund along the same lines of what the clan perks already have in place for the difference.

Well just give those low levels a chance. I see town hall 3 and 4 people raiding and having level 6 balloons in their clan castle. But in wars, lower levels do need those troops, because in wars, not only will they have high level troops, so will the defender. So I think the whole thing is fair. The idea was good, you had good reasons for that. People, just give this guy credit for stating good reasons.

This might hurt your feeling, but the amount of rage from the community I fear that SC would actually be hurting from that update. So no this doesn't need to be touched at all. One of the strategies of the game. Please adapt.

Max troops in the war CC can completely change the complexion of a TH6 or TH7 (or even TH8) attack or defense.
