Revenge Attack on Hoppers

Guys we really need some sort of system to help minimize all the hopping that has been going on. Its really annoying and making the game for me less enjoyable. It would be amazing if you guys could come up with a system where if a clan member joins and leaves within lets say 7 days, you have a right to revenge attack them for hopping. I really hope you take this idea in to consideration. Thank you for your time.

Hoping has always been here and always will. Can't stop it unless you do something like boom beach where you can only join a few clans a day.

Can be abusable, EASILY. I could resource trade with this system. Also, I want my freedom to choose a good clan. I don't want to be in someone's bad clan, so I leave to hopefully find a better one. Is there a problem with that? Forcing people into a clan will NEVER work, they can just destroy your clan.

Sure it would work. I'm not saying you have to stay for 7 days. Supercell can make the time shorter like 24 hrs or even 12 hours it better than nothing. They just need a system to minimize the hopping. How do you like to have new members join, request troops and bounce out an hour or less later. Same goes for war. I'm tired of having members join for war then leave in the middle of it. There needs to be some sort of hopping deterrent.

Again . . . No. This is a bad idea every time it is suggested because it will cause more, worse problems than "hoppers" already represent. Here is pretty much everything you need to know about dealing with hoppers. Both what will happen if you get your way and how everybody else has learned to deal with 99% of them quickly and easily.

First, SC has a long standing policy of not putting a negative statistic/badge/mark/rank/etc. of any kind on any players profile. They have a fairly strict no name-n-shame policy, as they should. You can accept those ideas as ruled out at face value.

Long story short, you are requesting a way to force people who don't want to be in your clan, who you don't even want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan. NOTHING good can come of this. Bad idea every time it is suggested.

Also, in an effort to not only help the OP understand the horrible repercussions of their idea, here is a list of many of the most common things successful clans do to prevent "D-bag hoppers" from being a nuisance (a nuisance, not a problem). Quoting myself from a recent thread again . . .

Others may chime in with additional ideas but those are the basic ones. Follow those and hoppers will end 99% instantly. Not to mention you will crack a smile when you apply your boots to their crack.

All of us clan leader types have experienced this and learned to preventing through our own leadership skills and clan rules. There is no need to institute a system that will punish the most social and giving players while making the lowest quality players more destructive.
In my time on the forum here I still have yet to see the answer to these simple questions. Why do you want to force somebody that you don't want in your clan, to be stuck in your clan?

There is some good stuff here but i'm not talking about forcing them to stay. If they want to leave, let them. If they leave within a specified time you should be allowed to attack them for hopping. Just like you can revenge people that attack you. Same concept. I wouldn't want someone that didn't want to stay to be forced to do so.

It would still be abusable.

1) Mini with full storages joins clan
2) Mini leaves quickly and rearranges the base to make it incredibly easy to get all loot
3) Mini goes offline
4) You revenge mini for free loot

How is that abusing? If they decide to do the steps above, that is on them. Still doesn't make sense to me. Its a simple one time revenge. Done. Don't HOP!

Mini means another of your accounts. I'm sure you know that.

That would mean free loot for you. The mini doesn't suffer any loss because you own both accounts, and you get free loot. That's not the spirit of the game.

If you have enough money to buy another mobile device and set up another account why not. Its your clan, your money, your device. People set up second accounts on other devices all the time. I think supercell would enjoy the extra income of another account created.

You don't seem to understand......

Although not supported, you can set up multiple accounts on one device.

What I mean is you can abuse the system with the loophole I mentioned and get free loot, which is not in the spirit of the game. Supercell doesn't support abusing.

That's the whole point. To make your revenge impossible they would just act like a complete jerk until you booted them out. Then you can't revenge them. This would accomplish three things, 1) punish most players who move between clans for good reasons, 2) create a terrible exploit, and 3) make the morally devoid hoppers even more destructive. It is a bad idea in every way.

Man we are talking 12-24 hours of having to stay with a clan. Imagine that. Its not that big of deal. I'm starting to suspect some hoppers in this post too. lol. Nevermind guys. Have a good one. My idea is posted and thats all i was after.

Perfect, so I can farm DE on my main, leave-join-leave, then let my Alt hit my base for easy, free DE.

Genius!

What's there to "revenge" on? Someone didn't like your clan. Look for ways to fix it internally rather then appeal to outside forces to fix it for you.

12-24 hours isn't a big deal to most of us. I know I joined clans that I wanted out of after 5 minutes of watching them chat with one another in the early days. You are simply ignoring the fact that the people you are hoping to punish are the ones who want out fast, and don't care how much they hurt you. If you make it possible to revenge them they will just hurt you more to avoid it. Besides, why do you want somebody in your clan who you don't like? Somebody who doesn't want to be in your clan but is forced to stay under threat of retaliation. What does that say about you?

Bingo. Intentionally hopping or just doesn't like you and your clan. Doesn't matter what the excuse, no one should be force - either literally forced or punitively forced - to stay in any clan they don't want to be in.

You could all be acting like a bunch of children and they did not want to be a part of it.

You create a thread to give an idea that really isnt that big of a problem, and when members tell you why it can be abused, you "hop" right out of the thread.

As everyone has said, itd be abused.

1) If you forced someone to stay in your clan for 12 hours, and everyone in it sucks, they will do what it takes to be booted.
2) I would make numerous accounts, load up their storages, and leave my own clan so i can raid tons of loot for the cost of almost nothing.
3) You said if they leave within a specified time, they could be revenge attacked. Who would attack them? Leader? Co-leader? Everyone in the clan? It wouldnt be fair for just one person to do it, and everyone doing it would be just insane.
4) Finally, people hop clans for legitimate reasons. There are sister clans, request and leave clans, etc. Hopping is fine in these clans. Your solution hurts to fix a problem that really isnt a problem

If you have numerous hoppers, you have bad management in your clan. Don't let people war for a week until you get a better feel for them. Ask questions and get to know them when they start. God forbid you give them 6 archers and they leave. OH THE COST!!!

Hopping is their choice of playing, not yours. You can't force everyone to...

1. Stop Spying in Wars;
2. Stop Zapping DE; or
3. Stop Hopping.

Those people that complain about these things NEVER ever listen to the "Elders" of the forums. Solutions such as...

1. Setting your clan to "Invite Only" or "Closed";
2. Move to a higher League;
3. etc.

...are never followed and will keep complaining just to attract more attention.

As for this topic, hopping, the only best solution that the "Elders" of the forums can give you is:

• Establish the Clan Rule: "Donate before Request"
