As a TH10, to boost all elixir, gold, and oil collectors for 1 day is 230 gems. For a month, that's 6900 gems. To do that for an entire year? 83,950 gems.
Now let's head on over to the gem store. The best deal you can get is 14,000 gems for $100. So 140 gems for every dollar.
Let's do a bit of comparison, shall we?
6900 gems a month to boost all gems, which comes out to $49/month.
83,950 gems for the year, which comes to $600/year.
You are proposing it cost $3 a month, compared to the current rate of $49. That is 6% of what they stand to potentially make as is.
You are proposing it cost $24 a year, compared to the current rate of $600. 4% of what they can potentially make as is.
Something tells me you may not have been in a role where your goal was to bring in revenue, whether in your adult career or running a lemonade stand.
It would be in their best interest to offer a monthly or yearly boost at a discount from the daily one, but not at a measly 4-6% of what they can currently earn from it. No way it would bring in enough non gem buyers to supplement the lost costs from current resource boosters, and it would have significant unintended consequences for the economy which would affect other forms of gem purchases.
I did not write it but was thinking $3 for each, so $9 for all three, which is still must less than what it would cost you now. I just think as you get to the upper levels the game gets so slow people will leave. For myself, after I have run my time through COC I don't think will play another in app purchase game.
How much will the average person be willing to spend a month to play this game?
